Which is the better racquet Babolat pure storm tour GT or wilson Kfactor 6.1 95?

I am replacing my Ncode 6.1 95's. I am a 4.5 mainly doubles all court player. I have hit with both racquets and I am having trouble deciding. I prefer the ncode version of the 95 over the kfactor, ncode feels better balanced, more manuverable and more solid at impact.
The Kfactor seems a bit sluggish and has a stiffer feel to it.

I will try the blx when it is out as well, but early reports are not favorable.

I am liking the Babolat PST GT, similar power level manuverability and solid feel. a little less pop on the first serve a little better action on the second serve.

can anyone who has hit with both chime in with their opinion of these racquets?

i say get the k 6.1 in the more open string pattern for more spin because the pure storm tour gt hits very unsolid(dont know if i used a correct word) and the k 6.1 hits very solid on every thing

Pure storm tour gt hits solid. Great frame. I have both - k6.1 and PSTgt. Would "upgrade" to the Babolat.

I play with the pstgt. 5.0 all court.

I tried the k95 briefly and didn't like it. I think the extra swing weight slowed my low-to-high motion, leading to really flat balls with little net clearance. I also found the racquet to be very stiff. If you're coming from an N95, however, you will be used to the weight and balance so it's definitely worth a demo. Keep in mind that I've handled a few dozen pro racquets and every one that uses the "K95" is really using a PJ'ed older Prostaff 6.1 - I think that speaks volumes.

I find the k 6.1 is just too powerful and lacks control. I missed too many balls long when I tried it out. Go with the GT. I think you'll find a slight upgrade in forgiveness compared to you current 95's, but it does lack that "raw" feel, probably because of the woofer system.

Or why not just stick with ncodes? Solid racquet. Not sure the switch to the Babolat will really be worth it.

Hi....

I agree with your conclusions re the N95 v K95

Have you tried the Babolat Pure Storm Ltd GT ? I thought a quite similar hit to the N95 but a little more "buttery" and for me easier access to top spin.

No contest.

Get the Babolat PST GT.

Very solid, nice blend of control and power.

Much better than the Wilson. I had 4 of the Wilson last year. See in my sig what I have now!

guys,
thank for the input. I played with the bab pst gt again today singles. I found no drop off on mph's on first serves, and great action on second serves. My groundies were ridiculously accurate with nice pop and spin. the only area i would give an edge to the wilson 95 series (take your pick n, k, psc) is at net. The bab is not a bad volley stick, but the wilson is exceptional.

I have just ordered 2 bab pst gt, poly mains multi crosses.

thanks for your help!!!

smart choice. My pst gt is strung with gut in the mains at 60 and sppp in the x's at 60 - amazing feel and control.

Now that everyone that works at Babolat has chimed in, it's your turn Wilson!

Used to be a die hard Wilson fan, but their latest number of racquets since the Ncodes have just not been up to par with previous models in my view.

All this is highly subjective, but too many people links Babolat racquets with powerful toys like Pure Drive Roddick series and Aero Pro Nadal, while they forget the control orientated series Pure Storm GT.

This is a shame, and NO I don't work for Babolat, just have to admit, when a company makes EXCELLENT products.
Wilson used to be the king of tennis in the 90's, but Babolat is overtaking that role in my view.....

Babolat Strings, racquets, dampeners, bags, stringsavers and other accessories are simply just a level higher compared to Wilson these days.

Agree with ClubHoUno--I left wilson because i couldn't find anything by them i liked as much as the ncode 95 and they stopped making them. The babolat PST GT is just a sweet racquet. I wanted to stay with Wilson but the Babolat just out performed the latest wilson stuff.
