which is worth it?

Sorry about my poor English. Anyway, which one is better, taking an intermediate lesson on backhand and serve for about $50, or buying both the "sonic serve" and "the bollistic backhand" videos for about $60. I wanna learn quickly cuz our highschool is going to be holding tennis try-outs in november and i want to make at least JV. I have a fairly consistent forehand, a weak backhand, and a bad serve. I'm just a weekend warrior (thanx to school). I usually play 7-9 hours every weekend. My dad won't let me play on weekdays. Thanx in advance.

The lesson, for sure. It is much better to have feedback from a pro who should know what he's doing. You could watch the videos, go out, and do everything wrong.
