I think the simple answer is they serve different purposes based on the context. With team sports played in a certain country no team represents a certain country because members are from all over the world. The anthem then becomes simply a display of patriotism and respect towards the country from the fans and the organising body, both of whom are natives of the country, and can be played at any time. When played, National Anthems in football matches are played before the matches, opposite to tennis, where they are played after the matches.
Can somebody tell why is this?
They should all rather have an international version in English, so everybody can understand what they are talking about.First of all national anthems should not have words.
Next, why not have just one anthem for the word?
What might that be?
I love National Anthems because they exalt my patriotism whenever I need to go to war.
Because they didn’t listen enough to their National Anthems? If war is natural and honorable why is there post traumatic stress disorder in many who have been in war zones?
