I do think his frames are lighter than retail to allow for customization and have them perfectly matched, perhaps with an even beefier SW (wild mass guessing there). However, I also do think his twistweight is significantly higher than his 90s. Else, it would pretty much destroy the purpose of getting a bigger racquet at a similar weight since I can't exactly imagine someone who had back issues going for an heavier racquet if just slapping lead at 3&9 was an option. Or maybe he drank significant amounts of Kool-Aid.Before someone comes in here and says it, I'm quite positive Fed's stick you cannot buy.
His old 90's were not at all retail, no amount of customization could get it to match.
I think the same case is for the rf97a. Different stock weight distribution, and then modified.
Now I'm sure there are people on here who disagree, but that's just based off what I learned while working for a retailer, from a co-worker who knew very specifically about p1 racquets.
It's really impossible to know. I wish there was a way to find out. But judging by how much his frame shakes on slow mo's when he hits outside the sweet spot... Does look like it's not very forgiving.I do think his frames are lighter than retail to allow for customization and have them perfectly matched, perhaps with an even beefier SW (wild mass guessing there). True, not much we can draw besides making conjectures and more or less educated guesses. However, I don't think it's as stable as Djokovic's based on their respective playstyles; and the Serb's frame still shakes out of the sweetspot. It's really impossible to know. I think anyone is allowed to draw their own conclusion about it, but I'm quite adamant (and agree with you) that his stock weight is different than our stock weight.
Yes it's difficult to establish anything. But it is definitely safe to assume Djokovic's frame is more stable than anyone else.True, not much we can draw besides making conjectures and more or less educated guesses. Not the same. I heard him say they are longer than standard but don't know how much. This was during the blacked out frame so he could have been just testing extended. Before someone comes in here and says it, I'm quite positive Fed's stick you cannot buy.

The rate at which they shake is different. At least in the slow mo's I've seen. Nadal and fed have had some really fast shaking fames for a while, where as novak is much more controlled. Novak actually doesn't hit in the middle of the frame as often as you'd believe. My thoughts exactly. My guess is that even if you had a frame with ridicously high twistweight, it would still shake on mishits when the dude on the other side of the net is launched high velocity missiles.
Lots of pros use that racquet, gee whats it called, was popular a while ago........
Thats right, its an APD! Google it, you might find some info on it.....
