Who is most likely to get to 18? Rafa, Fed or Nole.

Who is most likely to get to 18?

Tennis isn't exciting anymore because of the biological passport program.
:D
Fed seemed to be doing well physically last night. Too bad the Swiss doctors haven't come up with something to improve his mental issues however (I'm sure you can relate to that). ;)

still Federer 1away, djokovic is too far off at the minute, nadal is in decline and is mentally weak and playing too defensive temmis.

Great effort by Fed but I see absolutely no chance of 18 now, he will be near 35 come Wimbledon!

Nole just did a 3 slam year, but he is 28. But then again who is going to stop him. Milos?? Come on. Not taking anything away, just pointing out no-one can really hurt him now. Things change oh so quickly though. Kevin Anderson btw, lets not act like Nole didn't drop a set all year.

But Rafa also can benefit from the lost generation. He can come back!

I put a vote for Novak but that's only because you don't have a category for NONE. None of them will achieve that, certainly not Federer.

You guys seem to give too little additional slams to Djokovic and Federer.
I don't see who is going to win the 8 slams for the next 2 years if not for Nole & Roger. I'll give Nole 80% @Aus, 60% @RG, 60% Wim, 70% USO. For Roger it really depends on his fitness and being able to recover from matches...
Murray has the goods - not the focus and not the hunger, Nadal needs a miraculous comeback, the younger guns (Grigor, Milos, Kei) would not even get to the quarters anymore...
Stan may have another slam in him - most likely RG or Aus...

Fed just needs to face someone else in the final. He was tight as a drum in the first set, played freely for the next set and a half -- for the most part -- but for whatever reason just didn't keep playing that way.

There's only 2 guys now that can beat Nadal and that is Djokovic and Wawrinka. I'm not convince a 34 year old Federer or an underachieving Andy Murray have what it takes to beat an 80% Nadal in a 5 set match, unless proven otherwise.

Nadal is entitled to an off year. Federer had an off year in 2013 (dropped to number 6 in the rankings and didn't win any titles). No one in the current top 10 is a legitimate threat to him. But he's becoming more unpredictable so he's "upsettable" by virtually anyone.

I agree Nadal will beat Federer if they play even today. Federer sees Nadal in his bad dreams at this point.

Murray would beat Nadal no problem if they play in a slam today IMO. He would have even beaten him at RG had they played this year I believe.

Nadal is not just having an off year. He is showing very obvious physical decline. Federer's game was a mess in 2013, but he didn't show obvious physical decline, other than the bad back limiting him which was a temporary problem.

Thing with Novak is he could get injured.

If he's injured, you bet all your money on Roger.

And that pretty much explains it.

Even if the chances of Roger winning a Slam next 2 years is less than 2%, the chances of Djokovic missing or under performing in the next 8 Slams is quite high, maybe 5-10%?

None of them. Roger's last chance was 2015 Wimbledon. Nadal won't get any more, Nole will probably get 3 more.

Last chance Wimbledon 2015? How so, he was a lot closer in this US Open. He was probably the better player in that 3rd set. He was nowhere near winning the 3rd or 4th in Wimbledon.

Federer has to be the most likely to get to 18. There's always a chance he could get one more, he is playing really well at the moment, fitness will always be an issue but he has a chance. Djokovic probably won't but has to be the next most likely, think he'll overtake Nadal probably finish on about 15 I imagine. Nadal looks done, but you never know I suppose.

You forgot Dimitrov, he is still finding his feet. Now that he has split from Shoulderpova he can focus on winning majors. He will be the major challenger to Novak next year. He will start by dethroning Novak at the Australian open, propelling him to the dizzy heights of major winner and eventually into the anals of tennis history.

Nole never gets seriously injured!
Maybe will happen this year? If never happen it will almost be a miracle. Every top player dealing with serious injuryes
