Who the Crowd will Support tomorrow?

they'll support rafa, dunno why nole doesn't get more support comapred to Nadal or I mean at least as much, partly because

1. Nadal is more marketable, despite not being better looking than djokovic he had the whole sexy spanish long hair and muscles look. Djokovic is better looking but he looks ordinary.

2. Nadal is part of the Nadal - Federer rivallry, if rivallry can be used... But he has played some epic matches as far back as 2005

3. Nadal actually charms people with his broken English.

4. Nadal has a humble sporting personality which isn't always true, but people buy into stereotypes.

5. Nadal has built an image of someone who wins matches whilst carrying life threatening injuries. Again it's been inflated beyond truth, but people love him for it.

People may warm more to djokovic after this year

Rafa for sure. They don't seem to like Djokovic. He tries to hard to be liked.

They actually asked Toni and he said it does not affect the outcome. Rafa he said has won the French open all those times with the crowd against him. And Djokovic managed to beat Federer while the crowd massively supported the latter. A Davis Cup atmosphere is a different story.

The crowd knows Nadal better, so I guess he will get more support initially.

However, Djokovic can win the crowd with a few tricks, while Nadal cannot.

Not sure, don't think it will be majorly one sided.
Djokovic has the number 1 and amazing season, plus might get some support for this being his 3rd USO final without winning one yet and Nadal won last time.
Nadal is defending champ but has lost all his matches against Djokovic this year, so the crowd might want to support him to finally get a win. He has the more established large following from being in the Fedal duopoly too.

There will be fans of either player present, but also many people who are fans of both or don't care.

Overall support will ebb and flow with the match, always reversing to the person trying to rally in the set or match if it means more tennis.

When Nadal wins a slam he drops to his knees, or on his back because the feeling of winning is something to be always greatfull for.

When Djokovic wins a slam he throws his hands in the air and yells at his box to show off.

Even when a crowd cheers against him he thanks the crowd. Djokovic has been known in the past to anger crowds (USO 08)

THe US crowd is fickle, but they still remember bits of 08 and 09. They will cheer mainly for Rafa

Nadal because he asked the crowd nicely after he smelted Murray.

Djokovic will get pissed at the crowd....and it will only get worse.

Please tell me you are saying this to provoke a reaction. If not you need to see an optician or maybe you are already looking through rose tinted glasses. I realize that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but good looking and Djokovic. These words just don't belong together.

Im a massive novak fan, but i think nadal will get the majority of the support, he's more of a 'superstar' around the world, and i think that is what is more important to the new york crowds

He can pick the shorts out of his butt; that's a form of entertainment.

And when he does it it he sniffs his finger nearly every time! My sons thought it was hilarious, my wife was not amused when they started chanting, "pick, sniff, wipe" every time he picked his wedgie, sniffed his finger, and then wiped his hair.

Worst part...his opponent and the umpire must shake his butt picking hand after the match! Eeewww....

Nadal is more popular than Djokovic at the 3 grand slams away from Paris, and will receive more crowd support for sure.

If I was in the crowd I would cheer for Djokovic, simply because Nadal has won 7 more slams, and has won this tournament before while Djokovic hasn't. In match where I am fairly neutral towards both players like this one, I usually want the less accomplished player to beat the more accomplished one.

LOL. Pick, sniff, wipe. Must be some residue-do on the hands.

Regardless of how much you desire it, he doesn't sniff his fingers  I don't know if you've noticed but there are most likely 2 layers of clothing and large glutes between his fingers and his butthole.

He's got a form of OCD so he always performs the same action before a point. He picks his seat and then wipes his face. I'm sure you've got a habit that is at least as disgusting in private ;)

What he actually does is to tug his shorts. Nothing more, nothing less.

No, my wife tried to say the samw thing. He definitely sniffs his fingers. Even she admitted it after the boys started their chant.

And yes, you're correct, it's some form of OCD. My son is mildly OCD (and literally a genius...we've been told they go hand in hand sometimes). And I have a friend who wears an old nasty watch with a velcro seal that he constantly opens and sniffs.

As for my private habits they shall remain so since I would never do them on live TV! :)

I actually like Nadal and Djoker and am gald both made it to the finals. Nadal is a great role model for kids. A fierce competitor generous in defeat and gracious in victory. Fed and williams could learn from him!
