Was reading an article from a retired WTA British player , now turned coach, with a career high rank of about 175 , about how much injustice because women are shunned for coaching opportunities. She cited how lesser ATP players are getting lucky as coaches and assistant coaches.

For an upcoming player that you are funding , if you had a choice between choosing Serena Williams or Ivan Dodig, what would your decision be ?

Wouldn't it have to be in line with the player philosophy, hitting style, physical size, and temperament.
For example, while a big hitting Dodig might be good for a strong, big player, would Dodig work for someone 5'10" and 150 lbs.? Dodig is not big, but plays more like a big guy than a consistent baseline grinder.
And would personalities conflict? There HAS to be amount of mutual respect.
Can't say WHO will ge a good coach for WHO, because players and coach's come in all sizes and colors.

Mindless thread, asking about the relative coaching capabilities of two people about whom we know nothing of their coaching inclinations. Was there absolutely nothing on TV, addict?

Serena is the most narcissistic tennis player I've ever seen. She wouldn't deign to coach anyone else, she's above it all. How about putting up a halfway decent poll which includes viable candidates?? How about:

Stich
McEnroe
Lendl
Agassi
Roche
Safin (!?)
