Why can't the Netherlands produce a decent male tennis player?

the netherlands have around 17 million people. but this is still not small, and if you account for the fact that the dutch are the tallest people in europe, i am also surprised there are no dutch great tennis players after richard krajicek.

Maybe they're busy playing other tall-people sports. Isn't volleyball big in The Netherlands? And they're not all tall. of the 17 million only so many would even be candidates to be a decent tennis player, much less a great one.

It's hardly like they're the only wealthy nation with at least 15 million to never produce truly great tennis player.

VDZ and Griekspoor are currently ranked higher than Murray and Draper . These two Brits must really s*ck hard then ! Fortunately Norrie and Evans are there to save the day.

Murray has had a career far greater than any Dutch player and is now coasting towards retirement. Draper has potential but has yet to prove himself. Hopefully he can break the sorry tradition of start-well-then-get-injured for so many aspiring Brit players!!
