Why is neither ESPN nor Tennis Channel broadcasting the first two hours of US Open?

It would be nice to watch the US Open during lunch at work.

In our break room we get ESPN,ESPN2, and the major local networks.

I was able to watch Wimbledon everyday but I cannot watch the US Open? Yeah its a bit disappointing.

Over the course of two weeks ESPN will broadcast 130 television hours and 1,300 WatchESPN hours (totaling broadcasts from all the courts covered). It's stunning to read of someone complaining this is not enough. ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED ??????????? ESPN is in business, and if it's better business to show something else from 11 AM to 1 PM each day, I can accept that. Do you not have something better to do during that time ?? (WIth 47,000 posts here, perhaps not)
Yeah, I do. That's why I DVR all the matches so I can fast-forward past all the changeovers, interviews, time-wasting on the set, other nonsense, and just watch the matches I'm interested in.

It's fine if ESPN would rather show SportsCenter all day long or His & Hers, but why don't they allow Tennis Channel to show what they don't want to show? I'm sure TC would be more than happy to.

USA used to be ready to go at 11 a.m to after midnight if they had to, remember?..of course CBS got antsy about the whole thing over the years...but those two were a good combo
