Wilson Champion's Choice VS Luxilon/Babolat

Okay so I currently use a Babolat AeroPro Drive, and recently tried a hybrid mix of Babolat RPM Blast 16 (mains) and Luxilon ALU Power Rough (crosses). It was surprisingly a good combination and after a couple of weeks, it still is lasting pretty well. However, I have noticed a significant DECREASE in power after using switching to this mix. As a player that relies on power, I tend to try to get strings that are powerful from the baseline yet has enough spin/control as well. I have heard a lot about Wilson Champion's Choice, but I don't know if a Wilson string would work with a Babolat racquet very well. But anyways, what's your take??:-?

I don't think strings perform better or worse if the brand is the same as the racquet it is used in. Champions choice is a great combination. It will give you a considerable amount of power.

The gut in Wilson's Champions Choice is made by Babolat anyways.
Babolat makes the gut for Wilson.Look at the Lux. that you were using, as that is distributed by Wilson.Make of strings don't really matter, it more the preference of what you like in a string rather than the maunfacturer.
BTW I heard that the gut in Champions choice is not the same quality as Wilson's nat. gut, so with that in mind you may wish to just purchase set of each and make you own hybrid set.

the bolded was my experience. the gut seemed older and dried out.

The gut in Champion Choice is definitely not the same as it does feel a little drier and but I have used it and at least it doesn't feel overly stiff like BT7 natural gut. I wonder if Federer just promotes it but actually uses the regular Wilson natural gut instead.

i always had trouble playing with babolat strings such as RPM blast. It just felt way too harsh on my arms. Currently have lux alu power strungg on one of my wilson's, i love it. Have never tried wilson champion's choice though
