So I just got my tickets last week, and the buzz ive been feeling since has been unreal.
Been to several events in the past few years but this will be my first Wimbledon. 2nd Tuesday I have tickets for.
Cannot wait!

My wife and I are both teachers and want to use our summers off to travel to Wimbledon in the next few years.

I’ve never been overseas.

Wondering a couple things.

1. How much should I expect to spend for everything? Assuming flight and 4-5 nights accommodations and tickets.

2. Should I book everything myself or go thru a travel agent who specializes in the Wimbledon experience?

I am going to attend Wimbledon next year.
Are tickets hard to find? I am not going to wait in some line
Can you order tickets online, like US Open ?

Queued for almost 6 hours to the experience Wimbledon in the past. It was worth it, but I wouldn’t want to do it again.
Longest I had to queue for was 12 hours. Arrived there at 5am on the middle Saturday and got in at about 5:30pm. This was in 2013

I would not wait in any line for more than 2 hours.
And that is only for something like a passport or license.
Is there a way to simply buy Wimby tix online ?

WOW! I can’t imagine waiting in line for that long. 6 hours was only bearable because it was a new experience for my wife and me. Was definitely getting a little bored and restless by hour 5. You are a queuing warrior!

You can buy debenture tickets legally online. Just go to a reputable broker. There are several online. I believe the debentures are the only tickets that are transferable. Basically, they are like season tickets. They are sold in 5 year packages I believe. The owners can sell their tickets if they wish. They are available for Centre Court and court 1. The seats are good to great and you have access to the bars, lounges and restaurants that have views of the outer courts. We did it this year for day 1 court 1. They are not cheap though. Approximately $1,300 each per day for the early rounds for court 1. IIRC, Centre Court debenture tickets were around $1,800 per day. The experience was well worth it. When you consider this is like the Masters for golf or the Super Bowl for football, the price is not crazy.

And one more thing. The debenture tickets are not simply purchased and downloaded online like a stub hub ticket. I bought and paid for mine in March and they were delivered by FedEx to me in Houston in mid June after they are released to debenture holders. You must have the original debenture ticket to get in. Frankly, I was a little worried about them being counterfeit, but they weren't. I used a broker that has been around for many years.
