I actually think it decent quality rallies are going +8 shots not many winners but a lot of forced errors.

so according to the announcer, Woz will go from here to defend her title at New Haven Wednesday, playing the winner of cibulkova/oudin, and then on to USO, where she w/b the No. 1 Seed!

and Vera w/b inside the top ten regardless of the result today.

Oh my God, please, give me the USO today, and the mens tennis that is. Hopefully we'll see some decent tennis in the latter stages of New Haven, like QF's and forth, but this is just worse than a 250 2nd rounds match with men.

Wonderful performance by Wozniacki. So good to see her finally win her first tier 1 title. She certainly is a real contender to win the U.S Open title this year.

Was pretty impressed with Wozniacki's play today, even though she had more unforced errors than winners she served out of trouble a few times.

Zvonareva was in meltdown mode within 4 games though

Zvonareva played horribly, giving Pushniacki her first big title.

The thought of her being the number 1 seed at the US Open makes me sick.

Why so much hatred for an attractive, well spoken, friendly and talented young lady. She isnt my favorite player either but now I almost hope she wins the U.S Open just to make this board explode.

I'm not a Pushniacki hater, I actually think she's really talented. It only makes no sense to me she's the number one seed in a grand slam. She only won one tier 1 tournament - this one. She doesn't have the ability right now to step it up at the slams, because that's not how her game is.

I believe she can grow into one of the best ever, but she seriously needs to develop some offensive game, or she might never win anything worth mentioning and just be a shadow of what she could've been.

I get the impression that the least favorite of the four, namely Zvonareva might surprise everyone by winning the whole thing.

She might be eager to show everyone that her Wimbledon final wasn't just a lucky streak.

I take that back

Now we can all be 100% certain that Vera's Wimbledon final reach was largely a fluke. She got lucky that Kim Clijsters had one of her characteristic off days

Ok, I hate it when Wozniacki plays too passive, but today wasn't one of those days. There was a lot more power and depth on her groundstrokes both forehand and backhand. Zvonoreva just couldn't keep up and also realised that she couldn't win the match just exchanging groundstrokes. That's why she started to play a lot of stop balls.
But Wozzy was certainly much more aggressive. Credit to her for that and congratulation for the first Tier 1 title.

She's playing too many tournaments though. She should pull out of New Haven if she wants even the slightest shot at winning USO.
