I wonder if anyone is watching this rubbish? The coaches holding old wooden rackets, the players excessively trying hard to be funny and jovial, the weird scoring system, the music blaring… I just can’t get into it.

Do you like it? I feel like any port in a storm type of things… we are desperate for the sport so we watch, but it’s kinda cringe for me.

I mostly just watch the women's singles. Two more matches tonight, starting in about 40 minutes.

Yup watching--it's tennis--of sorts. It's kinda' like tennis' version of pro-wrestling or the Harlem Globetrotters. Nice desert scenery--puts some money into players pockets who wouldn't be in bigger events. Nice to see Clisters moving so well even though she is a mommy. WTT would be a good venue for the bad boys to star in like Kwazy Knicky, Tomic, any players serving drug bans. This is light hearted elite-exo tennis--lots of tennis faces who haven't been seen in years--it's holiday party time in he desert. Rafa and Roger should be in on this to test out their injuries, they could stay at Larry Ellison's digs and play some golf there. Too bad there aren't more folks in the stands but the desert doesn't get populated by Canada until January.
edit : Zerev could be reunited with his ex-g.f. Olga--she was a player at one time, this could be the perfect light-hearted venue for them to patch things up playing mx'ed together and show us how to do the tennis-tussle.

The music desperately inserted into the shortest breaks between the ball being in play seems weird to me. It's like they think they need to do it to maintain spectator attention.
I'm happy that players who could probably use the money get a chance to earn some.

The last WTT match I saw live was the Denver Racquets playing the Philly Freedoms in the first WTT Championship series. Tony Roche, Andrew Pattison, Francois Durr, Kristen Kemmer and company were a treat to watch. back in the 70's
