Who would be your coaching choice? And what would be the biggest weakness you'd want to work on with your game?

I would want Brad Gilbert as coach. It feels like he's such a master of Xs and Os on the court, and I know that I would never be the type of player that would hit anyone off the court. Yes, it's called winning ugly, but it's also placement, timing, and moving the opponent around. I think my game would be best suited for that.

What say you?

I would probably chose Brad Gilbert as well, he succeeded with many players and seems to have a celebrity type of personality. I wouldn't mind being around that type of vibe.

My biggest weakness has always been net game: so I would work on that

I have memorized all the posts on TTW forum. What more can Brad Gilbert/Annacone/Toni bring to the table?

I also forgot to add.. i am resting well for the past 10 yrs. So i wont even get tired once i step on the court.

I would say Agassi (if he were coaching), I would have him work on my return and taking the ball earlier; also mental toughness.

But, to chose an actual coach, I would have to go with Gilbert. He's got a nice blend of the big picture to help a player succeed in tennis.

I might go with Ivan Lendl. We'd work on making me able to return a single professional level shot.

But yeah, probably fitness and the serve.

I love what Lendl is doing with Murray, but he took over a gifted player who was missing something.

I wonder what he could do with someone with talent, but far more work to do.

Like Dolgopolov?

Listening to Courier announce, I think I'd like him as a coach. Plus, he'd be able to relate to getting the most out of what little natural talent I have though hard work.

Dolgo would be a great example. Troicki another.

I also think about Plies as coach. I think about how he gets the absolute most out of not top 5 player who is top 5, and how he does it through sheer grit and work.

I'd reach out to Gilbert or beg Courier.

I'd have to work on my fitness. I play an all-court game, but would need to be able to go longer before getting winded.

I'd choose Peter Lundgren. He has coached:
  • Marcelo Rios
  • Roger Federer
  • Marat Safin
  • Stanislas Wawrinka
Seems like he'd suit my attacking all-court game. He has also coached Marcos Baghdatis and Grigor Dimitrov*.

* Who hasn't coached him?

Brad Gilbert and Djokovic's doctor, the gluten free guy

Lendl and his designer drug supplier

Uncle Toni and the spanish federation doctor

I think the coach/doctor connection is just as important

Forgot about him. I'd definitely go with Lundgren.

What's Fernando Gonzalez up to these days? He might have some free time, and need some income.

Some coach to tell me how to make millions playing doubles. :)

I'd take Koenig's feedback any day. He would be a great coach.

For technical coaching: Peter Lundgren. Would want to work on the backhand primarily.

For tactical coaching: Brad Gilbert. Would want to work on transitioning from baseline to net.
