Hello Folks,

Could you please take a moment and advice me which would be right setup with these strings for my Head ig speed 18x20

1. Babolat VS Natural Team Gut 17
2. MSV Focus Hex 17L 1.18

Your recommendations on Mains/Crosses setup with these strings and also ideal Tensions Please.... and if i should consider using string savers.

I am a 3.5 - 4.0'ish player with hard ground strokes with half half of topspin and flat shots. Just want to try out few strings.... and this is my first experiment. Thank You.:)

well im not really a string breaker. Ive used tecnifibre x-one 1.30 and lasted me for 6 months so at least 1-3 months ill be happy thats why i think string savers will help.

Ditch the focus hex crosses if you want the bed to last that long. It is sharp and will cut through the gut quickly. The longest lasting poly cross I have tried for a gut hybrid is weissCANNON silverstring; highly recommended. Also if you measure your the length inside the hoop and the length across the widest point inside the hoop in cm I can tell you a good tension to use.

multis may still feel ok after a long period of time, but polys go dead a lot sooner.

if you plan to string around 50, and use string saver, you can prob get 1 -3 months out of a good nat gut mains/ circular shaped poly crosses. msv's shape can make little cuts through the nat gut even as u string it.

If TF X1 lasted 6 months, why not just string up a full set of natural gut. Even 16g natural will give you more spin and fell than the TF did, and should last at least as long.
