Absolutely dominating win for Oregon over ASU. Was 43-7 with 11 minutes left in the 2nd quarter and then we completely stopped trying to score. Couple garbage time TDs for ASU, but this was an ass kicking.

7-0, style points. Go Ducks!

Oregon's offense/defense combo this year is impressive. Just might be your breakthrough year, Big, particularly if the SEC teams keep beating each other and beating up each other (a lot of key injuries for the big guns already).

I hope so. I still worry about us against a top SEC power like Alabama or LSU, but I do think we've made serious improvements this year on defense...To think if John Boyett wasn't out for the season with injury.

Last night was insane. I was at the game, and the stadium was ROCKING when we fumbled and then they scored to kick it off. After that play, we just absolutely dominated, ripping off 43 unanswered points in about 17 minutes.

We'll see what happens towards the end of the season. We've still got to beat Stanford, OSU and likely USC twice if we want to go dancing.

Well, tune in for a dandy between Florida and the Gamecocks. With Clowney and Lattimore ailing, not sure if USC can pull it off.

I don't think USC will have enough offense with those injuries. I've got to cheer for Miami to beat FSU so Clemson is back in the driver's seat in their division.

Hey BigServer, did you go to UO? I'm applying to grad schools and Oregon is one of them. Love the Ducks.

I went to UO for my undergrad degree in Business Administration. Absolutely loved going to school there, and Duck football was one of the reasons. Also a very picturesque campus, some great academic programs and really awesome student life. Obviously I haven't done a grad program there, but I have friends that have gone back for grad work an loved it.

Thanks. Definitely looks like a real nice campus, though I can't complain about my current campus (Penn State). There's just something about the Pacific Northwest that I'm really attracted to.

I grew up between Seattle and Portland. I absolutely love it there. I moved to Phoenix about 2.5 years ago and don't love it here. Even with the rain, I miss the PNW like crazy.

Portland State is actually another of my top choices. Just like UO, they have a very good program in my field (urban planning).

PSU is a cool campus for Grad students, much more so than for undergrads. It's very urban, in downtown Portland, and will offer a ton of opportunities for networking in the city. Also, the urban planning program is widely regarded among the top (like UO).

Either one would be a great choice, and the Pacific NW would love to have you!

^^LOL

What's the total payout, 50k and 50 cases of the tuna caserole surprise crunchy topping?? That ought to cover (some) of the team's transportation and room & board tab.

I think what's really worth talking about here is how Toledo is gonna come away with an upset over Cincinnati tonight.

Thanks for the input man. Depending on when I choose to apply to grad school, I'll hopefully be up in the area over the next few years.

On to tonight's Penn State/Iowa game.....Iowa has played us tough over the last few years. Still think PSU's revamped offense will be too much for the Hawkeyes though....

Every week my hatred for Notre Dame grows. Another sneak out victory over an offensively challenged BYU team.

I have a feeling that Oklahoma is going to expose ND next week. I sure hope they do.

ND needs to slip up 3 times if they still have that guarantee of a BCS berth for finishing in the top 12.

If the KSU-WVU score stays the same, should WVU even be ranked in the top 25 next week?

Off topic here, but PSU wasn't so fun imho. Not much of a college atmosphere at all; tons of adults coming back to school, mixed with thousands and thousands of people just living/working in Portland and not going to school there.

ND will likely lose to USC and Oklahoma, aka the only two really good teams they'll play. They will still be top 10 likely and they'll go to a BCS game and lose. They barely beat Purdue, BYU and Stanford. Their best wins have been against mediocre Miami, Michigan and MSU. Yet they're #5 and "back".

WVU needs to be out of the top 25. Geno's Heisman case is closed and that team looks awful. KSU on the other hand looks legit. Wishes they hadn't backed out of a series against us.

Oregon St. 7-0. This hasn't happened for the Beavers in ages! The Civil War might be the showdown of the year at this rate.

Even at 4-4, VT might still win the ACC Coastal division.

Two most lasting impressions from FSU's rivalry win:

1. Depth along the D-line and RB's...it was a warm evening and there were a few injuries but Jimbo had extra horses to plug in when he needed them. I hope Thompson's tests are negative but if he sits we have The Osceola Express (Wilder, Jr. & Freeman).

2. The Germinator will play on Sundays! It's amazing how he has come so far so fast. Reminds me of Howie Long a lot.

I called that upset. 7-1 now with the potential for a top 25 ranking, not that you guys seem to care, anyway.

Agree. What sucks is that half of our starting defense will play on sundays easily. Im still not over that horrible loss to nc state, but im starting to see it is simply just that EJ is not very good and jimbo doesnt trust him enough. We will not face another real test until UF, but va tech will be a nice way to make sure our libe can open holes because if we cant run against UF we wont win.

Love our rbs..they are so talented. Pryor, freeman, wilder, thompson. I think vt returns by the Uf game.

Next year pender comes off his red shirt...oh man..we need to keep our oline going because we will be running a lot of play action next year.

Did you go for your undergrad?

Yup, Penn State offense was too much for Iowa. O'Brien has really improved every aspect of it. Even after the sanctions we are a much better team than last year. Bring on OSU next week. Got my tickets for that one, can't wait.

I have not seen anyone run well against UF this year. FSU can only win on EJ's arm IMHO.

This game is weeks away, so hopefully FSU can work on playing a complete game from the opening kickoff. A slow start like the ones vs Clemson and Miami will negate the Doak advantage. They will need a balanced attack and error-free football for four quarters. UF, for the most part, has been a second-half team that has capitalized on the other teams' errors (A&M, UT & LSU). The Gamecocks spoiled any suspense by gift-wrapping Saturday's game before halftime. The Bulldogs may do the same thing at the Cocktail Party this weekend. If so, it could get UG-ly fast!

Don't put any money down on VT this year (trust me, I'm an alumnus). :) I'm actually pulling for Duke to run the table and get into the ACC title game, though they have a tough schedule to close out the year.

I was impressed by the Gators on Saturday. USC was playing hurt but that D is brutal. After watching USC thrash Georgia, I can't see the Dawgs hurting Florida. Bama vs Florida could be a nice match-up.

I was wrong about CT. He is done. We now have lost our best D and O players. The train keeps rolling. I wish CT the best, he is a special player.

What a disaster today in the Pac-12. USC losing to Arizona, and Arizona State losing at home to UCLA.

It's more a disaster for Oregon, since we don't play UCLA and our best win so far was blowing out ASU on the road.

We need Stanford and Oregon State to win today, really bad. Best thing for the Pac-12 today was Florida losing.

Sorry bro...beat you at home. Ohio State...7-0.

Chaos in the Pac-12.... :(

Oregon better win out. Huskies ruined Stanford's and now Oregon St's seasons.

This is a complete disaster for Oregon's title hopes. I think at this point winning out gets us the Rose Bowl, unless both KSU and ND lose at some point. KSU looks like a lock to be undefeated, and ND really only has USC left.

Worst possible outcomes today with ASU, OSU and USC losing. Stanford barely hung on against a terrible WSU team. Pac 12 is a mess.

Good day in Tally-town...easy HC win with the Noles playing a complete game, few mistakes and NO big injuries. FreeWild on the way to becoming the Osceola Express...forget ponies James/Dickerson; these two are stallions on the rise! Also, nice game for EJ and the Germinator!

FSU should reach top 10 with Florida, Oregon State, USC, Oklahoma losses. If someone would step up and play to their potential vs. ND, if OSU wins the Civil War in Corvallis, KSU stumbles, and we win out and biotchslap the Gators, who knows???

Cant believe i am saying this, but it sucks uf lost. Now our game against them will not have the same weight. If they had won this game, they would most likely be heading to tally undefeated and #2 in the country. The fsu-uf rivalry would be back on track and if we won, wed be in national title contention. Now that simply wont be the case.

Good news is we are back on track to win the ACC, and that is a must for Jimbo to show progress with this program.

My Wildcats won! Thought USC would tear us a new one but somehow we managed to stay strong.

Matt Scott is out for a while though, that was a NASTY hit he took. My only question is; why don't the NFL and the NCAA band together and simply ban intentional helmet-to-helmet hits? Kick the player out of the game right then and there and then depending on the severity of the hit, ban him for X amount of games. Scott got hit badly on the side of the head by some guy rushing in to tackle him after he was already on the way down. Scott then was throwing up all over the field and when sent to the sidelines, didn't look like he was alive. That kind of reckless behavior needs to be banned. Period.

Its amazing just how bad the Big 10, ACC, and the Pac 12 all have become at the same time.

Pac-12 >> ACC. Other than FSU and Clemson the ACC has nothing to get riled up over. Their championship game will be yet another joke. If Oregon wins out they deserve to be in the National title game. Kansas St. will likely have a great year then fall back to mediocre for 5+ years.

Big 10 is a mess when their two best teams are on probation and their conference still can't count the number of members in their name.

If Kansas State wins out they deserve the natl title shot and as long as Snyder is there, I doubt they will be mediocre. Hes the most unheralded great coach in the country.

Does anyone think Ohio State would even be a top 5 or 6 team if they were in the SEC? That conference is just pitiful

Snyder is a dinosaur. He's been there an eternity. I remember a few great years as well as some iffy and downright mediocre years they've had under him. I think he's a good coach, but let's not make it seem like he gets winning teams year after year like Paterno-Bowden-Stoops-Meyer-Saban.

tOSU is 1-9 vs SEC in bowl games and they like to beat up on in-state powerhouses Akron and Toledo for their OOC schedule. Yet even with sanctions they'll probably win their division. Big 10 really needed Wisconsin-Iowa-Michigan St. to step up this year, but they haven't.
