Hopes that djokovic will never win another grandslam, believes he will win 3/4 next year LOLLLLL
I absolutely agree with the first post except nadal will win wimbledon. two sided rivalry.
Murray won't win any next year with his back surgery.

I'm a Federer fan, respect his accomplishments ect but I do not see him anymore slams let alone Wimbledon where Murray has proven to be the new measuring stick at SW19. Regarding Murray's back, whether it goes well or not will decide his 2014 season in my humble opinion

AO = Nadal
French = Nadal
Wimbledon = Murray
US = Djokovic

End of year rankings 2014

1. Nadal
2. Djokovic
3. Murray
4. Federer (Yes I believe he can get to 4th with a slam final, masters title under his belt)

Just because I hope he never wins another slam for the rest of his career, does not mean that's actually going to happen.

It would be a serious blow to tennis to see Isner win a GS.

Wow, FOUR new Slam winners in 2014? So much for Big 4 dominance! :)

just like last time Nadal will make you look foolish for underestimating him.

What I want:

AO: Fed def. Djokovic
FO: Rafa def. Djokovic
SW19: Fed def. Rafa
USO: Dimitrov def. Wawrinka

What I think might happen, but isn't likely:

AO: Novak def. Rafa
FO: Rafa def. Novak
SW19: Fed def. Novak
USO: Rafa def. Murray

What I think WILL happen:

AO: Novak def. Rafa
FO: Rafa def. Novak
SW19: Murray def. Novak
USO: Novak def. Rafa

Novak is being WAY overrated in this thread. He will win 1 slam next year max and I wont be surprised if he wins none. Then again if there is one player regularly overrated by everyone- bookies, fans, commentators, it is Novak Djokovic.

Yea, but there is a good reason for that.
He's in every GS semi-final in the last 3 yrs... Thats something.

That is how his career will continue. Although I dont think his semifinal streak will last forever either. Reaching lots of semis and some finals but lots of semifinal and final losses. His slam semifinal record will probably be only about 50% in the next few years, and will probably continue losing most of his slam finals. Beating Nadal or Murray in a big match is difficult for him right now. Murray especialy is not as consistent as Novak, but when those two are playing well enough to reach that stage they are simply better players than the steady but unspectacular Djokovic.

Djokovic cant even beat Nadal on hard courts anymore and he is going to beat him at Roland Garros in a best of 5 on clay people. Yeah exactly, keep dreaming people who have anyone but Nadal winning RG atleast.

That would honestly be devastating to tennis.

Federer could win his last slam on his favorite surface at the most prestigious tournament in all of tennis, ending his illustrious career with a bang. Instead he loses to a guy who is notorious for being a dick (or atleast used to be a dick).

Nadal's era of dominance at the French is ended, signaling the end of the big 4 era as a whole.

Djokovic's biggest chance to regain his confidence after going 1/5 in slam finals recently (his favorite surface, best slam for him) is completely destroyed, and he may not recover mentally.

Instead of Murray continuing his path to all-time greatness, the man who wins the USO is a servebot with a return game of a junior.

Every good thing comes to an end at some point, my friend. The era of big 4 is over in 2014.

Federer cries one last time on center court at Wimbledon whilst Berdych is all smiles. Fed walks away waving to fans one last time.

Nadal's legend in Paris comes to an end when France finds its first FO champion since Noah in Tsonga. Nadal goes home fishing, thinks about retirement.

Djokovic is devasted after the loss at AO against Wawrinka who this time plays the match of his life and brutally ends Nole's dominance in Melbourne. Nole never reaches another Slam final again.

Isner destroys everyone with his 140s mph serve en route his first Slam. He loses just 3 service games before meeting Murray in the final. Isner's ROS is as usual, pathetic for a Slam finalist, but he takes Murray to 3 TBs and wins them all. Murray wins a couple more Wimbledon titles but no other slam.

Nah! Not gonna happen;)

Nadal and Djokovic are fine players. But lets hope for variety's sake that your heart wins out (though I prefer Federer winning Wimbledon :) ).

Although his heart picks will never happen I wouldnt mind them, except for Clownmagro winning RG. That would be horrible for the sport if it ever happened.

Haas winning Wimbledon would be better than Federer from an emotional perspective. Haas deserves a slam, although he will in reality never get one. Federer already has 17 and 7 Wimbledons.

This.. except Djokovic for the US Open.

The reason I consider USO a tie is because Nadal is 2-1 vs Djokovic in finals there - not to mention Djokovic's overall abysmal USO finals record: 1-4. Plus medium/fast courts make it slightly harder for him to return serve.

I am pretty sure Nadal is winning the French and U.S Opens next year. I think he will really target defending his U.S Open title. He loves those courts now, and they are his 2nd favorite after clay. Australian Open is less certain since Djokovic is so strong there, but I would give him the slight edge now. Wimbledon is the tough one only since getting out of the early rounds will be his challenge. If he gets to the final few rounds, he will have an easier time winning there than in Australia though.

I know this is a fanboy dream but Federer winning the AO, W and USO one last time would AMAZING!! He would be the GOAT of 3/4 majors and basically cement himself as the overall GOAT but not gonna happen.

Who wins RG in your dream? Make it Wawrinka. Would love to see him win a slam.

nadal has nole figured out. he just took him out twice on his (nole) best surface.

what do you think he is going to do to him on clay next year?

I think the most likely scenario next year is 3 slams for Nadal and 1 for Murray. I think all 4 for Nadal, and 2 for Nadal and 2 for Murray are also possible too though.

The French and U.S Open will be Nadal's. The Australian Open and Wimbledon will both be toss ups between Nadal and Murray. Nadal if he reaches Murray at Wimbledon will win, and if he loses early round (definitely possible) Murray wins. Nadal and Murray will play in the Australian semis or final and the winner will win the event.

That is what I see next year playing out. What about you.

Who wins the slams then? I am guessing the only options then are 3 for Nadal and 1 for Murray, 2 for both Nadal and Murray, or all 4 for Nadal. Unless you have a surprise winner.

well we know that nadal is taking RG so that is 1.

Australian open is so critical for nadal. he has to strike while the iron is hot. this will basically and virtually assure that he will go after the record. this puts him in a near perfect position to declare his assault on history.

i think Wimbledon will be tough because the domination of the clay circuit is starting to take a lot out of nadal mentally and physically.

i say andy murray defends Wimbledon. nadal gets the other 3.

That sounds about right. I think if Nadal plays a warmup and trains hard on the grass between Roland Garros and Wimbledon he can have a real shot there though. Just build into it gradually though after RG, dont push it too much right away but make sure he shows up at Wimbledon prepared.

by the way welcome to the forums. i am general death.

pleasure to meet you. you can also call me Samson.

i agree with you. clay warrior is taking RG and the u.s. open. there is no stopping him there.

my only concern is the Australian open: he has to have it and the arms race is officially on.

so let me make this prediction: andy gets Wimbledon and nadal tracks down the other 3.

Wimbledon means a lot to andy and he has also become an accomplished player on grass.
