hehe, reminded to find this old thread... https://tt.tennis-warehouse.com/ind...tennisadict-vid-evidence.596321/post-11507472 (and vid of you playing back then...)

When I was playing Di Giulio, that was probably my peak level just because I was playing so much tennis (someone told me I was about 11.02 UTR back then?). I've peaked at 10.51 last November when I was training again (I won a non-money Open and beat a UTR 10 in the final), but 2013 me was hitting so many balls each day and was very fit, so that version of me would have won if we were to play now.

You underestimate the psychological intimidation of the ponytail and sweatpants

It's a question of logic for sure.
The visiting folks didn't care once to explain why they could not change their plans to accommodate other's schedule. But someone finds it imperative to play defense and plead why a personal commitment is not allowing a tennis hit. I find that very 'logical' tbh.

Yeah, you keep trying to spin this narrative to fit your story. I already explained why I couldn't make it that day (hint: it wasn't dodging), but if you're not smart enough to figure that out, can't help you there pal.

Pretty much everyone else agrees with me and we're trying to coordinate another hit, so yeah. We'll make the match happen one of these days.

I was going to comment on the sweatpants but I got two rules:

- Never trash-talk someone that plays better than you.

- Never trash-talk someone that carries a racquet so heavy that it can kill you.

It's really a matter of respect. Treat others the way you want to be treated, so I try not to talk down to anyone.

Big picture here is youtube content. Maxtennis had one of the best just a few years back if you wanted to see high level, amateur play. He was filming some of it in 4K and it was very high quality. I used to watch it all the time before I even knew he was on TT.

TennisTroll has evolved the medium by heavily editing the matchplay footage to keep it punchy and fast to watch, adding some nice clickbait titles that make the match intriguing and then even seeking out comment trolls and sometimes getting them to show up and play matches as well. He has captured the ATL tennis scene on film, and it's great to watch.

An East coast/West Coast battle between these two YT tennis giants would be something else. Matt's 4k Camera meeting TT's aggressive editing style with a pre match interview would be one for the ages. Just sayin'.

That's because of the 3 visitors, only one is active on this forum and I presume he doesn't feel the need to explain what's already been explained. If you don't believe @MaxTennis, I've vouchsafed his story. If you don't believe both of us, well, there you have it.

As I recall, that was the only free day they had, having already arranged hits on other days.

"Play defense"?; "plead"? If you're trying to blame @MaxTennis, your case is gossamer thin.

If I already had tickets to see a show at the Pantages Theatre, I would definitely not cancel that to go play tennis.

slow favors tt? more physical, harder to take the net, etc...
fast favors ian? faster points, balls carry more, approach shots more effective, etc...
?
I haven't hit with TT in a while, probably since our match was posted on the channel. We hit this past Friday for 90 mins and played points.

He's improved a lot! He's driving through the ball on the forehand but even more so on the backhand. Serve has more pop on it now as well. Movement is also very clean and he is stepping in on short balls and punishing them. Because of this, he's able to take the net a bit more and ends points in shorter lengths now.

I take my previous statement back.... I don't believe court surface will matter now that we have hit very recently.

Can you post your match link?

haven't really seen Ian play but TT underrates himself i think. Have played him before and been on the channel myself (#1 on usta 4.5/rush and attack). If ian is a true
4.5 i think TT wins easy. Ian may want to come down to ATL and play TT on the synthetic grass court if he has a good net game but TT won't film there lol. TT before all this
i think he was maybe a high 4.5 but now hes back in shape and hitting super clean and i think can easily play 5.0

In my opinion, you guys are explaining unnecessary details which have nothing to do with tennis and they are not even funny to read. Nobody in the right spirit cares about it really. It's my opinion as I said before.
You seem to disagree and that's ok.
Let's get this thread back on track.

you have a really big game. But more importantly you are wearing the official Sureshsian colors of pink and green which makes you an automatic TT legend. Do you follow Sureshs teachings on TT?

Haha thank you for the compliment! I have no idea who Suresh is. Can you send me a link to what you are describing? Where are his teachings lol?

I too wonder who would win between Ian and me. I think the odds are even in my book. Actually - I think whoever plays at home may have the edge. If the match was played in Atlanta in July, I think I would have a slight edge as the heat and humidity would help me as I am more used to it than Ian. If we played in Ian's indoor court, I think he would have a slight edge as I do not think I would be able to adjust to the quicker surface without a lot of practice on it. My thoughts. I did vote for myself to win though : ]
It would turn into a massive college style atmosphere for like a confernce championship or NCAA. Haha so much support would show up for both at home locations!

TT can do it. I think he has been playing some great tennis lately - his serve really starting to have some pop. Ian is weak from the backcourt and will end up just charging the net. His one hand backhand is a weak spot TT can focus in on that and hit clean passing shots when he comes to the net.
