Is Roger The Favourite For Wimbledon 2019?

I wish, but he is not. Djokovic is. I'd love to see them play in the final of SW17. It would be great. Strange thing could happen though, but no ... sorry. That's my final answer :cry::cry:

This post really writes off many other good grasscourters like Cilic and Raonic, especially when the OP puts Delpo above either of them.
Sorry, the Cilic of 2019 has no chance against an in-form Del Potro, and Raonic never has.

Is Federer the favourite? I would say the outcome ALSO depends on Djokovic, but it’s about 50/50 as of now. If Federer really wins the French Open, then he would be the overwhelming favourite for me. Because his confidence is over the moon then while Djokovic doesn’t have his goal CYGS anymore and may cut down his effort once more.

Sorry but other than 2013 and last year (actually he only reached QF last year because he got it easy between 1R-4R), Del Possum was a total joke on grass. DelPo can be a threat once he gets to QF, but he is more likely to crash out early than to reach QF. Meanwhile, Cilic and Raonic are former finalists and has been consistently reaching QFs.

I even agree with that, but Cilic and Raonic have done nothing this year. I would say Cilic can possibly come back to have another good run (most likely not this time though). Raonic on the other hand is absoletely only a servebot. He was massively lucky in 2016 against the worst Federer since about 2002 who was even injured late in the match.

Novak and Nadal are still the beneficiaries of the state of the field.
In 2018 the 'lost generation' (so called) was already lost - wasn't Berdych's last good match against Fed at AO 2018? Kei can still go part of the way but that's all. Cilic really went into decline at his inexplicable Wimbledon loss and has never recovered. Raonic - permanent resident in a hospital somewhere.
In 2018 the 'next gen' (so called) was in its infancy, Zverev above the rest, but already disappointing, Them ... well ... and anyway he's stuck in the middle like Grigor.
Therefore Novak and Nadal had little opposition on way to semis. Federer was more or less the Wimbledon favourite but displayed the vulnerability that's always being cited about older players and turned out to have been injured (???).
THIS YEAR Novak and Nadal continue to be the beneficiaries of the state of the field.
Most of 'lost gen' more lost than ever. 'Next gen' still not up to it.
But things have changed slightly. Stan and Delpo making a bit of a come back, more dangerous than last year, though perhaps not dangerous enough. Federer playing better than last year and clay practice helps him (I think).
'Nest gen' are improving however much posts on this site sneer. Not improving enough but at least now dominate early rounds of big tournaments. Late arrivals like Struff and the Serbs doing a bit of damage.
I believe Nole the Robot likely to win FO and Wimbledon. This is horrible. But I find a crumb of comfort in believing that in 2020 Youth will finally stand up to be counted (just as just possibly the youth of Britain will finally get rid of the Brexiteers - I regard Novak as the tennis equivalent of Brexit, by the way, destroying tennis just like Brexit is destroying UK.)

Yes, Nadal and Djokovic are taking advantage of the Next Gen Weak Era. But it compensates for Federer taking benefits of the Classic Weak Era, where he won 10 Grand Slams without facing Nadal or prime Djokovic between 2003 and 2007.

Anyhow, Nadal and Djokovic still fight against each other, while Federer did not face neither Nadal nor prime Djokovic in 10 of his Slams in 2003-2007. So the Classic Weak Era was even weaker than the current Next Gen Weak Era.
