Just like when the CB 1.3 first came out....Rafa famously wore Air Max Cages PJ'd in the CB1.3 black / lime colors for the Aussie Open that year.

HOLY COW, Nadal's version has Special looking AIR cushioning. MUST be NEW tech. I want THAT one not the new one NIKE is advertising. When will this one be released ?

listen to the genius. that lunarlite cushioning is not as good as air cushioning. it is too thin and Nadal's knees just cannot handle thin cushioning. his knee requires super thick cushioning.

He's used custom shoes for many years (no inner bubble on his CB1.3-4.3, modified tongue, different sole pattern and stitched heel cup)

well you guys can laugh all you want but if u didnt try them on personally i wouldnt say a thing.
Today i bought a pair in my local shop and i have only 1 thing to say : DAMN YOU NIKE for making such nice shoes!
they are like a child of the CB4.3 and Vapor 9 that inherited only the good stuff.
they are very comfortable right from the box, almost as light as the Vapors and much lower to the ground than the CB4.3 yet they offer much better stability and support then the Vapor 9 . The toe area is a lot wider so ur toes dont cramp up but they still manage to wrap around you foot so your foot doesnt slide in them.
its true you need to downsize compared to the CB4.3 (i wear 45EU on my CB4.3 but had to buy 44EU on the new LB).
when it comes to cushioning i find they do the job just fine. i played with them for 2h today and my feet didnt get tired and i didnt feel any pain in my right knee (i tend to get a little ache in my right knee if i play with badly cushioned shoes).
cant really say anything about the durability cause i played only 2h with them and i mainly play on clay so the shoes dont really wear out that quick but just looking at them you can see they are more durable then the vapor 9.
oh and one more thing: they do wrinkle a bit in the toe area so if you dont like your shoes to wrinkle they arent really for you.
overall i think nike really did a good job with these shoes and ill be prolly switching from the cb4.3 to the new LBs.

Possibly nike already made CB version and probably it will take two days. One day to make (I think Chinese makes his shoes nowadays) and one day to ship (about 10hr flight distance so one day is enough time to deliver his shoes).

No, more than likely he's HAD them. Nike's ELITE athlete doesn't come unprepared. My comment on Rafa doing a Lebron, is Lebron has issues with his current shoe and swaps out either the following quarter or halftime, to his previous model with a unreleased PE colorway.
Kaosabir- I don't think anyone is disputing it's comfort. I think we were just sticker shocked. However, it's a great excuse to NOT buy them because Rafa isn't wearing them or it's not the same version. I'm a big shoe head plus a Rafa *****, so I'll eventually get them

Rafa's already trying on his colorway for Roland Garros during a practice session. It still looks like his same custom red Lunar Ballistecs.
i had to go down a full size. i wear 45EU CB4.3 and had to go down to 44EU on the LB. even when i put them side by side the 44 LB are the same length as the 45 CB.

He probably knew he wasn't going to like them and requested a few pairs before the tournament.
After receiving my LBs today, and going out and hitting for a couple hours with them, I wonder if Rafa isn't wearing them because of the extreme heat in Australia right now. I really like the shoes, but the lack of ventilation compared to the Cb 4.3's and the vapors could be a problem. They were fine for me today (50 degrees), but I dread wearing them in the Texas heat this summer. My feet might melt.

Nike shoes are all about gimmicks and flash. Performance is secondary.

Gotta disagree. I've personally seen too much Volt those few last years. :???: Not that I don't like it, but it's like they've got nothing else. Even the last CBs were Volt, and earlier this year Berdych was using a Volt pair of V9s. Volt can wait for a year, it'll be fine.
Nice. Maybe they will go on sale for that price when they get reduced.

LOL,LOL... NO way. it is the OLD court Ballistec 4.3. you can see the air cushioning on the heel. but I do LOVE the new colorway. hope they release back the 4.3 with this Colors.....I would buy it and more.
Is it me or was Nadal using this color code in the CB 4.3 version in the match with Kei? ( Haven't seen the other games at the AO ).
