Getting a bunch of racquets to demo tomorrow

I found a pro shop and I can demo any racquet, really. I'm getting rid of my RDX 500 MP because I find it too heavy (arm tires quickly), it's horrible for serving, and not powerful enough. Looking for a more powerful, yet spin friendly racquet. I'm a baseliner. I demoed the liquidmental instinct and liked it, but found that it didn't offer enough spin.

Right now I'm looking at

Pure Drive
Aeropro Drive
n6.1 95
RDS 001

Anything I'm missing?

Edit: You might think that if I'm finding the RDX too heavy, why is the n6.1 on here? That's because I had to add a lot of lead to my RDX in order to give it ANY power whatsoever... I also want something that isn't too flexy like the RDX. I prefer a crisper response, like I had with the instinct.

Babolat Pure Storm and Prince 03 Hybrid Tour are my favorites.

I think everyone should demo the Pure Drive before eliminating it from their list. You may really like it. Try Roddick's version if you can, it is not that much heavier and I think it plays much better.

Z... have you looked into the Dunlop M-Fil 300... definitely lighter and more powerful than thr RDX... I have both (selling the MF3 now). The MF3 has tons of spin potential... it is too light for me, but can be customized. H_ll look into the M-Fil 300 thread... tons of great info there!

Thanks for the replies. I wasn't asking which of the aforementioned raqcuets was best, though. I'm just looking for more racquets to demo. Pure Storm seems like a good one to demo, thanks.

I tried the 03 tour and thought that it was horrible. I don't see why so many people rave about that one. Very unresponsive in most areas... I also have tried the dunlops and didn't find anything spectacular about them.

Wait till the new Dunlop 500 Tour comes out, similar specs to Pure Drive, Aero Pro, open string pattern, medium weight.

I agree with this, the only problem is that the racquet isn't made for power, you will have to add your own power but, other than that seems like it fit's your criteria. Like JC said, it might be a little too light. It was too light for me but, with some lead tape it was perfect! I love this racquet now.

Remember, if your looking for some more info on this racquet go checkout my review in the RACQUET section of the forums.

Update...

Tried the n6.1, Aeropro drive, and Pure Drive today

n6.1 was too heavy... good control, but I have a shoulder impingement and it hurt my shoulder on the very first serve (my heavy rdx is actually what created my shoulder impingement). I liked the feel, it was comfortable, good spin, overall a good racquet; just too heavy for my taste.

APD and Pure Drive were both good. For two-hander I'd rate them equal. Slice was better with APD, topspin better with APD, better power with PD, and from the little bit that I served, I liked serving with the APD better. I didn't get much of a chance to play with them for very long, so I'm going tomorrow morning to make a final decision. Right now I'm definitely leaning toward the APD. The major difference is that I can feel the extra flex in the APD, and the PD seems to swing too heavy, and I can control the ball better with the APD.

I'll see if I can get my hands on one. The regular O3 tour was piece of sh*t... in my opinion... lol.

Definitely should look at the M-Fil 300, maybe also the RDS 003 MP (RDS 001 is no lighter than the RDX MP!), and Volkl DNX 8.

I've demoed all those racquets recently. The Pure Drive is probably the best one that offers the spin and power like you said you were looking for. The Aeropro drive is similar to the Pure Drive but I felt it was too light for me. Both the nSix-One (16 x 18 ) and the RDS 001 are good overall sticks, and each has good spin capabilities.

Those nCodes sure are horrible, geez Federer needs a new racquet! He needs to win EVERY GS and EVERY master series now.

I doubt he even uses an nCode.

but nCode 95 feels very hollow to me. I compared it with the Head Radical Tour 98 which felt much solid.

So I demod the RDS 001 and the Pure Drive Roddick today.

All I can say is: wow, the RDS was overhyped, big time. It's like my RDX 500, except way crappier. I can't believe this racquet is so popular here.

Pure Drive Roddick was all right, except I preffered the pure drive standard, and prefer without the cortex.

Looks like I'm settling on the Pure Drive.

None of the shops here in Edmonton have Volkl's (to buy or to demo). Thanks anyway, though. I haven't had issues with my shoulder and the pure drive... yet.
