TSK beats Eubanks 4-6, 6-2, 6-4

Semis are set on the men's side

TSK (UVA) vs. Fawcett (Stanford)
Blumberg (UNC) vs. Borges (MSU)
This dude named Bulmberg is very impressive player. he isn't the #1 guy at UNC either. who is this guy and why haven't we heard of him ?

It'll be a question of fitness for the men's semis. Both Blumberg and Kwiatkowski have had a heavy dose of tennis now the past seven days. Borges and Fawcett considerably less so. But from what I've seen of Blumberg, he's more impressive than what Rubin looked like as a freshman. Something tells me he will stay one more year then go pro unless he wins this thing. He's got the game for the next legs for sure

Semi-Pro
He's won 24 consecutive matches. If you haven't heard of him, that's on you.

And he played #2 for UNC. Clear stack.

It wasn't much of a stack. Right NOW, he's ranked 16th and Schneider is 22nd. But for most of the season, Schneider was ranked higher. Schneider was also a senior. The lineup made total sense.

Fawcett dominating the field. Thai son may just run away in fear
I'
ll take a team title and a semi appearance all day. Gonna have to beat two ACC guys. I'll take the ACC guys.
He might but Thai looked good today. Chris Eubank gave him a tough match. I was on the second row with my son watching.

Blumberg crushed Thai in the team play. The ACC is the best tennis conference this year, hands down, on the mens side. Final could be a rematch from the team play, Blumberg, UNC, vs Kwiatkowski, UVA guy. We'll see. Wake plays in the ACC too and has a shot at the dubs title.

Blumberg vs. Kwiatkowski for the singles title tomorrow. That bodes well for UNC.

They have played 3 times already this year. Blumberg won at ACCs in straights, at NCAAs in straights and was up 4-2 in the 3rd set when UVA clinched at ITAs.

Who his Blumberg dude ? is he American or English ? sounds like he is English. then he won't get the Wildcard into US open. USTA doesn't give out WC to foreign college players. If he is so good then why hasn't he done anything in the challengers ?

True but kudos to Tom for making it to the final four. I can't say anyone in this thread realistically thought he was capable of doing this well in the tournament.
Why not? He had a great draw, was seeded 8th and lost to a lower seed. I'll say kudos to the ACC. The teams that finished first and second in team play, UVA and UNC have two singles players playing in the finals. Now that's a heck of a run!

Your ignorance isn't even upsetting anymore. I just don't know how you haven't been banned.

Get this straight.... he is an American, ok but nobody is talking about him like he is going to do anything in the pro tour. Guys like Isner and Steve Johnson had been talked about as great Pro potential as soon as they were freshmen in their colleges and USTA development couldn't wait til they turned pro. but this guy Blumberg, no one is talking about him

You never know some people mature late. I do not know much about him either but I have not followed college tennis much. I really enjoyed watching Skander Mansouri play but he lost.

Your opinion, based on absolutely nothing, is entirely irrelevant as to whether or not he's going to turn pro. Making the singles final as a freshman is already better than what Johnson or Isner did at 18 or 19. If that's our measuring stick, then Blumberg is already ahead of them in terms of early development.
