I just noticed it. Not like we see Ferrer that much on prime time these days

Ferrer just won a tournament with a blackout racquet! He has not done that in over two years - win a tournament! Looks like a much thinner beam and throat is wide open.

Ferrer playing like he is playing when he was in the top 10 and using the Prince 0X3 technology. Maybe switch to one of Ultra 100 racquets or current one? The point is he is doing great with the blackout!
I looks like he's still playing with Luxilon Big Banger Original.

Considering that they went to the effort of blacking out the paint, you would think it'd be easy enough to swap the Wilson buttcaps for Babolat ones. Might not be an exact fit, but it'd be close enough that it wouldn't be hard to make some small adjustments to get it right.

What are you guys even on about? He has no contract with Wilson(yet) and is using one of their sticks. It's likely a standard blacked out prostock version, and he's stuck a bit of tape on the end for now. Why would he spend all his time trying to perfectly fit an off-brand butt cap to his racket when he can simply be out practicing instead?
Good point about the racquet being a prostock. My bad. However, even with the white 'W' logo covered with tape, the red buttcap is very distinctive and indicative of a Wilson frame. Wilson and Babolat handles are not all that different in shape and it should be easy enough to use a bit of tape to get the buttcap to fit properly. Certainly worth doing to keep Babolat happy IMO.

Ferrer could care less nor his agent nor Babolat since 99.99% don't know this. It a win-win for all concern!

Yea, I am being told it is Pro stock. It looks very strange for Wilson,,,doesn't look like any model in the shop currently..... wonder if Wilson made this model just for Ferrer ??? I really wonder about this,,since Ferrer is Old aging star who will retire soon, and it doesn't make sense financially for Wilson to give Ferrer a signature prostock frame that they will try to sell to public at later date..

Finally David found the racket which he can play well with but it's Wilson.
Wilson should offer him a contract even though he is old. If he starts win again, Wilson might benefit.
Just give him PJ of ultra and promoting for the ultra line.
Good time to take some market shares from babolat.
Sad to see that good players struggle with new rackets because of sponsorship changing especially end of career... Davydenko was a similar case with prince. Both used o3 tech.

Prince is coming back to the O3 technology in their "Breast" model lines. It been releases already but not available in the U.S. market...yet!

Ha. They are horribly shaped company. Prince Japan is only hope now but no badly really knows whether Prince Japan runs independently or not.
Phantom was released almost a year ago and still not available in US.
anticipations and expectations are building up too long. I don't believe phantom will save prince like Yonex's AI line did. Same as beast too. I will not surprised to see new beast racket in 2019 hahahahaha
That's bad idea for the company. As soon as Wilson offers a contract and David wants to move on, there is no reason to hold him since he does not use their rackets. It will give more negative impression to public.

Whatever racket he's playing with, seems to be playing well again. Just had his first tournament win in a couple years and seems to be climbing back in the rankings plus he played Federer just recently and went three sets with him. I guess the Babolat just didn't suit him and the change is working. Really doesn't look like a Babolat but has kept the stencil on it to oblige to his contract with them. Looks like he's pulling the old Agassi trick and playing with a different frame but same sponsor logo.

this racket doesn't look like Steam model though.............if it is Wilson,,, it looks more like Pro Staff racket.... anyway,, maybe Babolat is making a new line of rackets that looks like Prostaff model from Wilson. wonder if this is Patent violation ?????

Yes!! I knew it; this racquet is so top secret that they've even installed 'fake' Wilson butt caps - also explains the supposedly amateurish tape overs - on the prototypes to throw people off the scent, lest the new Baboweapon be unmasked...

Why go through all the efforts to make a fake Wilson butt cap while you can just get a real Wilson butt cap? They only cost my stringers around $3 a piece! I guess, if you are doing secret work; you don't think straight unless you are a trained secret agent that is like James Bond!
