i am guilty. @comeback sent me an old profile Hammer si2.7. Anyhow I got arrogant looked at it and decided to string it. Normally I look it up on klips site for string patterns, but I have strung tons of profiles.... how hard can it be and there was some confusion between profile hammer and just hammer so I figured the site would be a waste

Lol i was on the 2nd cross and something was off. There were clearly 2 more mains left! Every Profile I have seen has been the 2.7s and they all have 16 mains. Awesome a 18x 20 pattern 2.7.

So I strung the last 2 mains with the crosses like a mini Lendl pattern. Worked great but its not proper. I really should be shot.

Well against the wall it was fine but it felt like crap. It needs more weight. Its only 365 g so I will bring it up to 380g and see.

This is the 1st racquet that is not dead on impact. Boooooiiing. Not something shroud likes. Ok I hate that and want the racquet as dead as most marriages. Could be the tourbite crosses. Iirc they vibe funny

May be worth a restring

110”

LOL If you’ve strung tons of profiles, didn’t you notice this one started in the head and not the throat? Didn’t you notice the mains only skipped 8 H&T? Didn’t you notice how far the outside mains were from the frame? Didn’t you notice there was no tie off for the top cross?

TW POLICE please investigate this matter immediately. I believe there is some collusion between @comeback, racket, and stringing machine to deceive @Shroud. It is also possible @Shroud could be involved in this obvious clubber up.

PS it’s a good thing you didn’t cut off 20’ of poly string to string 2 mains and 20 crosses, or did you?

I did notice they started at the head meaning the 1st pull was at the throat and it totally bummed me out. Those sticks never get as tight as the ones that pull from the top.

I didnt notice the skipping 8 H and t or if I did it dont mean much. They didnt look that bad and some racquets leave a big gap on the outer mains so I just kept going

I dont recall about the tie off because there clearly was one.

I did cut the pack in half and had enough to string the 2 mains and crosses. Pack said 40’ so it should be 20’.

No investigation this is like a stolen bike

Profile Hammers were interesting frames. The Pro Staff version 4.0 is still my favorite version of a Profile. 18 by 20 rules.

I played with that racquet for 10 good years. No weight, but it was powerful, agile, stable, and provided tons of feedback. It came in two paintjobs which was unusual. The shiny gold one wasn't attractive, but the flat metallic purple was gorgeous. One of my favourite volleying racquets ever. It still gets some play time every now and then. Most expensive racquet I've ever bought!
