They put a 7 in on the back of his shoe even though he has win 8 wimbledon's... How do they get this wrong?

They just took last years design and put it on the new model....

I think everyone should lay off you. You just wanted to share what you heard regardless if it pans out or not. These things are so air tight and nobody knows. I will share that one of my close friends who is in tennis and knows Team8 extremely well, does not even know what is going on. He also knows people at Nike as he use to play and is with nike still. But as we have heard nike and team8 make an 11th hour agreement and RF will most likely stay with nike. To my point though, Babolast just tried to share what he heard. Either way all good. But the good news it seems is that RF will remain with the Swoosh!

i agree; i've been hard on babolast as i sometime find his posts to be dismissive of others. i have to apologize to babolast for being hard on him; he comes out with good info on the colors of shoes, etc each season and is usually spot on. babs i apologize for being too harsh on you. i''ve monitored the boards for years without singing up simply to see what shoes, etc are coming out down the road without guys like babs you would never know what is coming out until it drops. keep up the good work babs some info changes at the last moment and no one can be 100% right all the time.

Thank you both. Like Pistol Pete said, I am just passing on what I heard. I have been way wrong in the past (Nadal to Joma, Novak to Nike) but 90% of the time I think I'm reliable. No one is 100% but I try my best to give these boards a heads up on whats coming up in future seasons and I will continue my best to keep this up going forward.

For the record, I do appreciate any prerelease apparel info that you are prepared to contribute. It’s just that my attitude when frequenting this place is one of frivolous detachment. Compared to almost every other aspect of my life, my participation in this forum, particularly regarding the sponsorship dilemmas of pro tennis players, rates very low indeed. I tend to see only mild amusement in this subject and my tone can from time to time be considered flippant. For that I apologise.

I won't be surprised if Federer walked out on center court on Monday wearing a Uniqlo kit. Of course he would still wear Nike shoes. If he's going to Uniqlo then there's no better time than Wimbledon to do it and the surprise element would create a major buzz. He may sign a shoe deal with someone else like adidas or asics later.

I was thinking he’d just wear something with no logos to try to force the issue. Unless they’re doing week by week deals behind the scenes.

PS - OP, nice find on the pic. Most plausible answer - Nike isn’t doing anything special for Fed (PE wise) until he signs.

Another sign was his pre-Wimbledon interview. Showing up with a sports jacket, with no sign of Nike anywhere. I knew it right there, he had left Nike.

Bwahahahahahahahaha>

Guarantee now, all the Federites will be calling Nike "garbage", and Uniqlo, "good quality".

Wasn't good when Novak was wearing Uniqlo, but now it will be the bees knees.
