Poisoned Slice

Time for one of those hold your damn serve moments.
Danger.
Danger.
He has mostly played terrible this year. I can't remember one good match of his.I know, but he can play awful, and then suddenly play amazing
Another 70 mph serve the Greek gets away with. Astonishing.
After Fed retires, another wild run will await if I become a Tsitsipas fan.Kid is like Fed, nothing is easy
Paul Annacone mentioned during the Citi that Tsitsipas needed a more lively arm for his serve or something to that effect. I think once this kid improves on that he could be a real contender for the top ranks of ATP. I really do like his game, kind of reminds me of a when I watched a young Federer when he came on tour. He's got an all-around game that I like.
I don’t think we’ll see someone dominate like Federer or Djokovic for a very long time. I can see the ATP becoming like the WTA after Fedalovic retire. The question is; is he the next Federer? Will he, or any of the young players dominate the tour the way Federer did for over five years? He certainly has everything it takes. A great serve, wonderful ground strokes, good at the net. great mental and physical stamina, and he seems to move pretty well. His main weakness is his second serve, but that can be improved. So, as he turns 20 tomorrow, he's no longer a teenager, and he's at the age when others at that same age were winning Slams and other big titles. Will he follow in the same path, or take longer to develop? Food for thought?
Yea he has to improve that second serve. He got away with it this week but this will not be a regular occurrence. A lot of posters are saying they see Federer but I don't see it. His game is not as fluid as Federer's and he's technically not as sound. To me, he seems more like a young Sampras. Not as great technically early on, but amazing fighting spirit and mental strength, and clutch when it matters most. He also can bring the heat on the gorundstrokes and has naturally good hands at net.
One thing's for sure: his Toronto draw is more difficult than many if not majority of slam draws. The question is; is he the next Federer? Yeah let him be the first Tsitsipas instead of the next Federer. The sooner people stop expecting and searching for the next Federer the better. You just don't get players like him often, and that is an understatement.
Both are Greek too.I think he's the next multi-slam winner in tennis. I also see a lot of Sampras in his game and he's got a lot of room to improve. The scary thing is he's improving at a pretty rapid pace.

He is half Russian though. So pleased Tsits could fight back and take it the distance. Love his heart.
Greek warrior!
Bullsheet Russian. He is half Russian though.
We all jump on the multi-Slam winner bangwagon everytime one of these guys makes a good run. I definitely see Sampras, which is a really good thing, and the potential is definitely there but I need to see how he plays after this tournament to say he will dominate and win multiple Slams. I do think he will be a Slam winner in the new era. The newer generation are making themselves known.
I like the way Tsitsipas changes the trajectory of a tennis ball at his will using a tennis racquet.
We do have this tendency because tennis is long overdue for a new great player. Tsitsipas is the best combination of intangibles and talent of any emerging player.
He has performed kisses of death on youngsters more than anything else.@Meles is probably performing some kind of curse ritual on Anderson right now.
And he’s still in itOne thing's for sure: his Toronto draw is more difficult than many if not majority of slam draws.
Terrible 1st serve percentage from both players. They will be butchered by Nadal in the final if they serve like this.
They will be butchered regardless.Terrible 1st serve percentage from both players. They will be butchered by Nadal in the final if they serve like this.
Everyone wishes him well. Seems like a real nice guy too.We do have this tendency because tennis is long overdue for a new great player. Tsitsipas is the best combination of intangibles and talent of any emerging player.
To TTW's delight.Terrible 1st serve percentage from both players. They will be butchered by Nadal in the final if they serve like this.
I’m really craving for a young talent to breakthrough now and win a slam.I actually might get on the Tsitsi bandwagon. Either way it's going to be very fun times here when NextGen guys become the top guys.
