When do teams normally start?

i am going out for varsity for the first time. Our school says varsity starts the 5th of march which is like 3 weeks away. I was just wondering if at everyone elses school does this mean the team acutally starts then? Do you normally start training? The reason i ask is because right now we got about 2 feet of snow and the courts are covered but i wasnt sure if normally teams condition first? thanks

every one gets onthe team at my high school... YEA ME!!!!
but we started in november

The team practices and meetings should start at the date given, regardless of snow.
Our team started 2 weeks ago.

this thursday is when season officialy starts (and pratices can be finally held)...cant wait:grin:


...but by the looks of things...im gonna have to wait a bit longer...snow is pouring out right now and it may be a bit cold out

Well the boy's season start maybe two weeks ago? so that would be the 12th of February. The girl's tennis season always starts a week prior to the first day of school.

yea we do too because we have 6 indoor and 12 outdoor we are also a 5A school....that helps!!haha

same here, i am out by june. I dont see why the team would start in July. They should all be the same time since if your team makes it you have to be in states and nationals at the same time.
