K90 tour

I have been hitting on and off with the k90 tour and played 5 sets with this evening and basically I dont have the skills or strength to use it. I think it is more of a strength issue. I played horrible with it tonight and have decided not to go with the racquet. What are the chances that the k95 will be any better and if not what are some suggestions on what I should go with. The things that I like about the k90 are the soft feel and the fact that it is not too stiff. I currently am playing with a trisys 150 if that helps any. Thanks in advance.

i played ok with the k90, for some reason I had better results with the PS85

that may considered stiff. i just happen to like to feel and dont really know much when it comes to stiffness ratings. i have not bought a racquet in a long time. the trisys 150 i have was made around 93. i have been lost in my new racquet search.

give the k95 a shot - i think that you will like it, and it is easier to swing around. take it out on a demo.

I played both rackets and decided to buy the K95 (18x20). It feels and swings a bit lighter and it's more forgiving. Serves are bombs, baseline and net game are good, but it doesn't have the feel and the precision of the smaller heads - it's pretty close though. I never really needed the precision that my old PS85 offered me for about twelve years but I always thought I do. Playing with this 95sq racket now shows me that a combination of good, not great precision and good, not average power is better, especially on off-days.
I'm a good player by the way, my hitting partner is ranked between 50-100 in Germany, so it's not like the K90 is a too demanding racket for me... the K95 just seems to offer more for nowadays tennis. Only guys like Roger Federer can play their best tennis with a 90sq racket imo...

Once I don't play competitively anymore I will go back to a Wilson 90sq racket or even to the PS85 though. Playing with these rackets is most fun

How flexible a racquet is depends on how it feels when you play with it and not what the stiffness specs says. If you only go by the stiffness specs then you are really missing out.

Another example, the PS 6.0 95's stiffness is also spec'd at 67, but ask anyone who's played with it and they'll all tell you that it feels more like 61.

ktour 90 although written as 67 but i feel it is as stiff as 64 or 65. It is just softer and more comfortable than the tour 90 or ncode 90.

This was my experience.

The specs may show it as very stiff, but it doesn't FEEL that way at all.

More open string pattern. Should be able to tell the difference between frame stiffness and stringbed stiffness.
