The day before a big tourney...rest or practice?

I have my high school district tournament on Monday and I'm wondering whether I should rest or play tomorrow. My usual hitting partner refuses to play with me tomorrow saying that it will really tire me out in the latter part of my tourney Monday, but I think I would rather go out and hit tomorrow.
What do you usually do the day before a tournament?

Practice light. I'd go out and hit for 30 minutes to an hour, play a ten point tiebreaker and then rest for the rest of the day. That's what I did during high school (aka last year).

I hit REALLY intensely. I line up 3 different practice partners and hit with them for 2 hours. 10-4. Then I go to bed at like 8. Therefore you're on form, and youre rested. Works for me, although it's probably not everyones choice

now that seems like a really bad idea.

I recommend a short, but intense practice. My team usually practices about 2 hours the day before a match. We'll go through drills to work on all of the shots, and play a set starting at 2 all.

I agree with this. I think rest before a big day is important so you aren't injured or tired. Practice a lot weeks before the tourney and get a short practice in the day before.

Have a light hitting session starting by hitting to the middle with your hitting parter. Focus on form, then after a while, start to move the ball crosscourt, again with good form. Do some serves, volleys, make sure everything is right. Then do a practice set/tiebreak, playing how you would probably play tommorow. Then go rest and carbo-load.

Many D1 schools have weekly matches, sometimes far from home.

They have light hitting sessions the day (or two) before - with little to no focus on hard strategies and advice on stroke fundamentals. If you have to review over things like a normal practice, you have not prepared well :)

I like to eat as much as I can, followed by some excessive drinking and staying up till 2 am.

That or a light-medium match with a close standard player.

I usually play normally for like an hour or two then I just go to bed at like 10:00 or 11:00.

for me i usually have a 90min intense hit then after that i'll go home and try to relax as much as i can for the rest of the day

I usually go for a long and slow run to get relaxed, and then I hit for about an hour. That helps me to stay focused on tennis without being intense because of the oncoming tournament

I usually like to hit for about 30 minutes the day before my match, and the morning before (usually an hour or hour and a half before my match) warm up lightly, before warming up with my opponent just to get in a rythym and not worry about anything.

Haveing a light practice a day before a match is not going to
kill you.
