Estoy de acuerdo! Es un character impresionante que me gusta tambien.

Yo vivia en Chile y entrenaba con los campeones para chile quando yo era mas joven. Donde juegas tu? Conoces a Oscar Bustos? El jugaba por el equipo de Copa Davis y ahora creo que es dueno de uno de los clubs en Santiago. Bueno que le vaya bien compadre!

Oye loco que significa:

"Te cago a trompadas"

"No te hagas el boludo"

"no te hagas el vivo"

"sudaca gil"

"pelotudo"

Literally? I can't translate those, but I'll translate as accurate as possible.

"Te cago a trompadas"
I'll beat your ass up. I'm a beat you! (fo shizzle ma nizzle!)

"No te hagas el boludo"
Don't be a smartass/*******

"no te hagas el vivo"
Don't be a smartass

"sudaca gil"
Sudaca = despective for southamerican. Gil = typical insult.

"pelotudo"
Typical insult.

"Gil" sounds like "hil"? I think I remember it came from "hillbilly"? as in someone who is rude or "roto"?

Thanks for the translations!

The thing I like about Gaudio is that he is emotional and passionate about the game. He's not affraid to express how he feels.

Gaudio is almost at the same level of insanity as Safin. All he has to do now is pull his pants down at Roland Garros like Safin, and Gaudio might be tied.

"The shorts" video is very funny like Safin style :D when Gaudio goes crazy he starts a funny Epic Drama, I laugh so much when he destroys his racquet (or his clothes) and screams :p

i think he needs safin's old coach peter lungren. lungren helped safin get his head together to win the aussie open and helped roger get his head together to become a great player from 2001 on and helped him win wimbledon 2003. lungren can help guadio. all lungren needs to do is learn espanol lol

it was nadal but I'm pretty sure he didn't actually say that, they just put the captions in there.

If you listen to the dialog Gaudio does exchange some "fighting words" with Nadal. I just wonder what it was that Nadal did to set Gaudio off like that?

I also wonder who would win in a fight between the two? Nadal has some pretty big guns, but he seems intimidated by Gaudio in their exchange? What do the sudamericanos know about this episode?

Gaudio got angry cause in that match, Nadal fist pumped and yelled in 4 consecutive UE from Gaudio. He was 40-0 on Nadal's serve, and he blew them all, and Nadal kinda "celebrated" Gaudio's UE, instead of celebrating his own shots.

That threw Gaudio off

... and i understand him !
he should have smashed his racket on nadal's head, like he does it so well on the ground. :D

Nb: "sudaca", that doesn't sound so nice... :?

Andres

He never said "sudaca gil".
That was probably an exaggeration from the Argie TV.

Plus, Gil is an argie slang word (and latin american)... not a spaniard. Nadal wouldn't say it cause he probably doesn't know it.

Gil, ("hill") like Gil Reyes, Agassi's coach.

For me, it's hard to believe Nadal has said that to Gaston. First, it's almost inaudible, and secondly "gil" it is not used by spaniards... maybe "gilipollas", but wasnt the case.

edit: look andres´ post above. i almost duplicated it. :p

I'm absolutely sure he DIDN'T. That was the "subtitles" from TyC Sports, simply METIENDO CIZAÑA.
