How does The Nadal have a 9-6 record in slams vs Djokovic?

Why does Nadal lead the slam h2h with Djokovic?

Combination of being a great big match player and more meetings at RG than other 3 slams (although credit to Rafa for 2 to 1 lead at USO). Obviously if there were an equal number of meetings at each of the 4 slams, the lead would not be 9 to 6. I would guess it would be 8 to 7 either way.

The 2 are quite even across the 4 slams, each has 1 where they are better and have won more H2H, but fans argue the peak level of their favorite is better than the other and the H2H lead is due to luck or timing (USO and WIM where the lead is 2 to 1 in both cases) and one where they are dominant over the the other (AO vs RG). Djokovic fans could argue with 3 meetings a piece at the closer slams, then it is obvious that 7 meetings vs 2 at the best slam for each is unfair. But Rafa fans could argue WIM and USO are a wash and it is obvious Rafa is more dominant at RG than Novak is at AO.

Close one imo if adjusted for the RG skew, but Nadal does lead in actual matches that occurred so credit to him :)

How could someone vote "better player"? It simply makes no sense.

Greatest big match player of his era. Maybe of all time.

Yes, Nadal is supreme on clay, but Djokovic was the 2nd best clay player in the world for many years. And he had more than a few victories on clay in Best Of 3 over Nadal. He should never have lost 6 times to Nadal at Roland Garros with his capability on clay.

Add to the fact that Nadal is the better slow hardcourt player (ie the US Open surface, which has been slow for the last decade) so he's been able to get two finals victories at the US Open over Djokovic, when people presume Djokovic should waste him on every hardcourt. Well, not if the hardcourt is slow.

Djokovic USO 11 > Nadal USO 2010.

Djokovic of 2011 is not losing to Nadal on a BO5 HC. Nadal just moonballs to the Fed BH and it breaks down with Djoker it does not work.
I was referring to their levels in a vacuum, independent of matchups with each other. In regards to the bolded, I thought you were a Nadal fan.

How do you read it?

Being the better player is being the better player. Simple.
You said "that day". It doesn't say "that day", it's making the claim that Rafael Nadal is the superior tennis player. Makes no sense. I'm gonna watch the rest of the Champions League game then come back to this.

If one player is 9-6 against another, it means they are the better player on "that day" more often. This also means they are the better player overall in slams.

There is a RG skew; Nadal played him 3 times early on when he was the more developed and better player; and they've only played 3 times in the last 5 years. In the last 10 years, Djokovic is 6-5 in Slams.

Djokovic and Nadal both have winning records against Fed in slams. Is Fed not the greatest? And it doesn't say "better player overall in slams" it says "better player". There was an option for "GOAT big match player", which as of right now you did not select. Djokovic is far and away (ok maybe the crossed out part is not true) the better player. He was the only one to dominate when all of the big 3 were playing at a high level. Nadal is the most dominant player for any one surface, I'll give him that.

There is also a "majoring in majors" option.

Disappointed no one has gone for lucky draws yet. Nadal having straight sets wins over Youzhny and Gasquet while Djokovic fights to death with Federer and Wawrinka is significant no?

Where does that play a part in there h2h? Has Djokovic lost to Nadal under those circumstances for the 3 non-RG losses?

Which actually makes it worse for Nadal's numbers. He only managed to make it to the Djokovic match 5 times depsite 2 HC slams a year. Meanwhile Djoker made it to 7 showdowns with Rafa at RG.

Yeah, which is all the more unfair that there are so few tournaments on clay and Djokovic is greatly advantaged by the hardcourt skew.
