All of this except goat big match player (peat) and majoring in majors (leads mugsters count too no?)
Good pointThe tour has a hard court skew, not a clay skew. Nadal is disadvantaged by that.
Forced.
You ain't gonna get me againThe tour has a hard court skew, not a clay skew. Nadal is disadvantaged by that.
Meaning Rafa was the better player that day and is why he won?How could someone vote "better player"? It simply makes no sense.
That's not how I read it.Meaning Rafa was the better player that day and is why he won?

Tons of pre 2011 matches + FO
Djokovic USO 11 > Nadal USO 2010.Greatest big match player of his era. Maybe of all time.
Yes, Nadal is supreme on clay, but Djokovic was the 2nd best clay player in the world for many years. And he had more than a few victories on clay in Best Of 3 over Nadal. He should never have lost 6 times to Nadal at Roland Garros with his capability on clay.
Add to the fact that Nadal is the better slow hardcourt player (ie the US Open surface, which has been slow for the last decade) so he's been able to get two finals victories at the US Open over Djokovic, when people presume Djokovic should waste him on every hardcourt. Well, not if the hardcourt is slow.
Djokovic USO 11 > Nadal USO 2010.
Nah.Djokovic USO 11 > Nadal USO 2010.
Djokovic of 2011 is not losing to Nadal on a BO5 HC. Nadal just moonballs to the Fed BH and it breaks down with Djoker it does not work.Nah.
Nadal USO 2010 >= Djokovic USO 2011 > Nadal USO 2013
I was referring to their levels in a vacuum, independent of matchups with each other. In regards to the bolded, I thought you were a Nadal fan.Djokovic of 2011 is not losing to Nadal on a BO5 HC. Nadal just moonballs to the Fed BH and it breaks down with Djoker it does not work.
You said "that day". It doesn't say "that day", it's making the claim that Rafael Nadal is the superior tennis player. Makes no sense. I'm gonna watch the rest of the Champions League game then come back to this. How do you read it?
Being the better player is being the better player. Simple.
That is the age where most players peak, I don't see what's so weird about that. It's not Nadal's fault Djokovic didn't decide to take his career seriously until age 24.
If this guy is a Nadal fan then RF-18 is a Federer fan.I was referring to their levels in a vacuum, independent of matchups with each other. In regards to the bolded, I thought you were a Nadal fan.
It was a joke. People used to say Nadal only moonballs so i was mocking it.I was referring to their levels in a vacuum, independent of matchups with each other. In regards to the bolded, I thought you were a Nadal fan.
Read above. And your more of a Federer fan than any other player actually. If this guy is a Nadal fan then RF-18 is a Federer fan.
If one player is 9-6 against another, it means they are the better player on "that day" more often. This also means they are the better player overall in slams. You said "that day". Gotcha. You’re getting better at the baiting game.It was a joke. People used to say Nadal only moonballs so i was mocking it.

Which actually makes it worse for Nadal's numbers. He only managed to make it to the Djokovic match 5 times depsite 2 HC slams a year. Meanwhile Djoker made it to 7 showdowns with Rafa at RG.The tour has a hard court skew, not a clay skew. Nadal is disadvantaged by that.

Nadal has beaten Djokovic a grand total of 1 time in a Slam outside of the FO in the last 10 years. That's another fact.
And both times Djokovic had 5-setters in the SF while Nadal played Gasquet and Youzhny. Two times outside of clay at all, remember.
Djokovic and Nadal both have winning records against Fed in slams. Is Fed not the greatest? And it doesn't say "better player overall in slams" it says "better player". There was an option for "GOAT big match player", which as of right now you did not select. Djokovic isIf one player is 9-6 against another, it means they are the better player on "that day" more often. This also means they are the better player overall in slams.
Where does that play a part in there h2h? Has Djokovic lost to Nadal under those circumstances for the 3 non-RG losses?Disappointed no one has gone for lucky draws yet. Nadal having straight sets wins over Youzhny and Gasquet while Djokovic fights to death with Federer and Wawrinka is significant no?
