If this looks old, then well, I’m just blind.

Good to see her win something. She's one of those players I just shake my head that she hasn't accomplished more, because she is very talented.

^ One could see that coming, unfortunately. :(

Sori looking great in the photo posted by Spystud, but I must say that as I looked the highlights of that final against Mertens from Youtube I was surprised how old(!) Sorana looked! Two years ago in the matches she still looked so young and fresh but seems like she has aged like six years in two!?! She should stay away from Tiriacs and the likes, doesn't do any good to her! :D

When I said she beat Keys last night, my wife asked “who” I replied the hottest woman in tennis. I don’t think she appreciated that. :-D

Glorious playing by Sorana!
Also a tad lucky that Garcia got tense at the end( she was trying to losen up her arm, stretching it)...

First time I ever watched her play. I think she has a very interesting style of play. Hits hard with more spin than most wta players. Surprised to see she’s ranked so low with how she played last night. Also surprised she is 33, she is in great shape and is super fit. I hope she gets a few more Ws in IW.

She was as high as No. 21 on 12 August 2013, always an attacking player, but better fit and more consistent lately (under the influence of the new coach).
I think that she won at the end of the third set against Garcia, primarly with her defence and she would put a better fight than Raducanu against Swiatek (similar to how I heard Andreescu did)...

Can’t wait to watch her play again! If she fights like yesterday she has a shot!

Another great win, over the same top 10 player, Garcia! 6-2, 6-3
Serving was exceptional and at times she hit thru Garcia.

They should have a rule, that if you beat someone twice in a row, you get their rankings! So Sorana should be WTA #4 and Caroline #77.
I don't understand how Garcia made so many UEs, going for too much and not being to handle Sorana's pace...

Sorana was surprised by the easier than in IW victory, although she says that the score doesn't reflect the match, which was more complicated:

Sorana Cirstea defetead 7-5 6-1 an in form Muchova! Muchova had 15 wins and 4 losses this year, while Sorana is 10:7.

The first set was topsy turvy, but Sorana came back twice and from 3-5 won the next 10 out 11 games with her power game.
She hits the ball hard from both wings, serves and returns very well and moves well, putting pressure on her opponents and making them miss!
Although Muchova has an amazing FH...
She won 20 more points in the match.

Muchova acted defeated in the second set, not managing to pressure Sorana's second serve anymore:

I wanted to post here how Sorana has the ability to find a fifth gear, just to read that the Romanian sports writers think the same:
www.gsp.ro

First of all we have to give credit to Vondrusova: she has many weapons (and can execute under pressure), plus great defence.
Second to Sorana, who after getting broken at 5-5, started to ruin the 100% percentage Vondrusova had on her first serve and broke right back.
Then when she was down 0-2 in the TB, Sorana surprised me by winning a point with a top spin BH, in a sequence of 7 points won out of 8 and ended 7-5.

Again I don't understand, really what she did in the second set, 6-4. All I can say is: hard hitting, great serving and returning + movement.
Ther sports writers say that she's been "revving up"...

More like Sabalenka playing lousy. Everyone has an off day.
I'm giving Cirstea credit for making it into the QF of Miami & playing Sabalenka a tough match.
She is ranked 74 in the world & giving the Sabalenka fits. She is hitting her spots & playing way above her current rating.
I will agree though that Sabalenka is having an off day for sure.

Live rankings has her up to #41 in the world!
I love seeing an older player persevering & being rewarded for all her hard work:)

And yet to drop a set.
More focused, more variety in her game and how can she hold that BL like Roger (and Sabalenka)?
Twice she made worlds #4 and now #2 press against her and miss a lot.
