Sour salty Journalists commenting on Nadal statue

Every journalist who has talked about Nadals statue has literally been doing so through gritted teeth. Their saltiness has reached new levels.
The journalists all are in love with Djokovic their new favourite. And Tsitsipas. Basicall what we see is an Anyone But Nadal narrative in the press.
Given how humble Rafa is i have never understood why the press cannot stand him but for us Rafa fans it makes his 13 and 20 that much more sweeter.
The statue is awesome. It is massive. Really in your face. The Spanish sculptor did an awesome job. Love it.

Are they salty he got a statue or are they rightfully salty at how ugly the damn thing is?

You've reached a new low @Beckerserve . Take a 1 or 2 day break from the forum and come back when your mind is clear again.

No thanks bud. I am right. Name one journalist who has appeared happy about the statue.
If journalists are triggered by the thread they need to toughen up.
dude journalists don't even know this forum exists. you have a narrative in your mind and you're projecting it in everything you see or hear.

My only problem with the statue is it’s not his iconic whip FH. I like the terminator look
There was a thread where someone posted the actual photo the sculptor based the statue on, and I have to say it looks very similar. Some were saying that it was Nadal himself who chose the picture, but I'm not sure it is true.

Journalists opinion are on the same page with everyone. The statue is very disappointing, to say the least.

It looks exactly like Rafa if you've seen it up close. The statue looks pretty awesome, but I just wish they had the whip forehand. Everything else is a 10/10.

A very good feeling of motion was captured! Iconic whip finish would have been better, though.
However, the whole thing looks a bit like he's suffering from some flash-eating disease.

I understand art is probably THE most subjective subject there is, but you have got to get your eyes checked if you think that statue is ugly, the sculptor managed to capture one of the most perfectly executed (balance, weight shift, follow through) forehands ever.

I personally think the sculptor should've chosen a lasso over the head FH, but this one is just stunning.

They made his chin too long.
When you have your mouth open like that your chin becomes compressed......but they forgot to compress it.
And if you look at the photo, Nadal's arm is in front of his chin....
