Any Djokovic fan who wants him to retire on top after CYGS?

That would be a surreal conclusion to his career.

The Australian is coming up next. Our Djoker owns Melbourne.
He would never miss that. No chance.

If nothing else I think Djokovic is greedy about numbers. Remember there’s still the YE #1, the weeks at #1, 10 AOs, etc. most importantly, there’s a guy named Rafa in Mallorca who’s also got a fair amount of Slams…

He will continue eating at the carcass until pushed away.

Yeah, Clay territory is totally dependent upon Djokovic to stop the mighty assault of Rafa next year.

He's already said he's playing Olympics 2024 so it's not happening, unless he only comes back for Olympics which would be weird. Anyway no, when you can still win more slams and Nadal is at 20 and could conceivably win a few more, you have to keep playing.

Why would a player who won all 4 slams in a calendar year decide they should stop playing? lol
Sampras called it quits after he won the US Open on top with 14 slams. But I think he’ll want to continue playing, one more AO would give him decent buffer room in case Rafa gets one more FO.

I get the feeling Djokovic WILL NOT stick around when his body starts to truly fail him. He will go out on top.

Whenever he decides to retire, I hope he can go out on top like his idol but I don't want it to be now no matter what happens Sunday.

Seriously, this guy has on his racquet tennis history ... once in a life time opportunity to retire on top ... as best ever ...

Why not ?

I personally want to stop watching tennis TBH. Being a Djokovic fan (or a fan of any of the big 3) is very stressful
Finally I find someone who feels like me:cry:
After Sergio Ramos leaving Real Madrid and the end of Ronaldo Messi era I have lost interest in football even my fav club, Real Madrid. I have barely followed their matches since the start of the new season. I lost interest in chess, snooker, volleyball and as I said before football/soccer too. The only remaining hurdle to overcome is tennis and after that hopefully I am done with the world of sports. I mean just done with watching it not playing:laughing:
So Rafa Roger and Novak please retire as soon as possible. I don't want to experience more stress cause it really hurts. And also it seems like I am wasting my time. How many skills could we have learned instead of following a thing called tennis in which the ultimate goal is to see who is better at hitting an object called ball in an area called court!:(
WHY do I care about a rich athlete who I have never seen before in person and root for him/her. It's been a big philosophical mystery for me since my teenage years. I am 31 almost 32, single and unemployed for now and still cannot stop watching this lovely sport:censored:
Sorry for the long reply:X3:

There could be a semi-Thiem lilke slump if he gets the CYGS, but it would be absurd to leave at the top. He has two to three years left even if they are not as brilliant as 2021.

I wanna stop watching any sport because of the same reason. Oh god why should we experience such stressful moments for someone else's success?! Do you know the answer?!:(

If he goes to slump. I'd say he'll try to pull a sampras and retire.

He has signed new endorsement deals, so I doubt he will retire soon.

But I get the feeling, IF he wins on Sunday, and the other 2 retire soon.....He won't stick around too long. Perhaps 2 or 3 more spirited attempts at Slams, and that's it.

I don't think he wants another RG, for instance. At most he would want to stop Rafa.....

But, who knows. I certainly don't want him to have Fed's fate.......chasing his tail, and becoming what in essence is a circus act.
