IF the king of clay doesn't win RG again, his incredible reign has been book ended in a very interesting way

2004. The final match before the reign of Nadal was a five set match in which the winner had to come from 0-2 sets down to win in five. Nadal also had a foot injury.

There were no five set finals since then, until....

2021. The final match after the reign of Nadal would be a five set match in which the winner had to come from 0-2 sets down to win in five. Nadal also had a foot injury.


Of course that is only IF he doesn't win RG again.

and it was the same foot "injury"...or foot problem
