A combination of things. They each have foundations that do good work. They have their achievements, how they went about it, a million memories, their words and also their families. I think all of this is part of their legacies.

Djokovic's (in terms of the game) will be the few young players he's bankrolling and teaching from time to time (like little Mihailo).
In terms of life, probably his humanitarian work. The schools he's had built will be remembered by those that studied in them for a long time to come.

Unless Rafa becomes a full time instructor in retirement and has numerous students go on to win majors, I don't see how the academy will be his legacy.

Every one of them has foundation, tennis clubs, tennis academies. Their legacies will be what they did on the court, the Slam titles, the weeks at #1 , the YE #1 finishes, the number of Masters, the number of YECs, the NCYGS, off the court stuff isn't so important for their legacies.

Nadal's academy is the best thing to come out since sliced bread
I've seen so many videos from literally anyone who visits it as a tourist or lives there and it's so SLICK, not just the museum but it's a place that you can actually go and chill + learn tennis, aesthetically it looks wicked
I'm surprised Federer hasn't opened up an academy I took him as someone who would do that sort of thing, easily got the money + resources and would bring in tons of exposure but he likes the apparel/clothing side of things more. I would've thought that'd be Rafa LOL

Plenty of tennis academies out there. Thousands and thousands of them throughout the world. Nadal's academy is known because of his results on the court, it's not the other way around.

Sadly I don't think their legacies will be sustainable because people under 30 generally have an attention span measured in nanoseconds. It's not a criticism, it's unavoidable since they were all raised with cell phones, Internet and the instant gratification that goes along with that. So nowadays, it's out of sight, out of mind. We see that on TTW continuously with people trash Borg, Mac, Lendl, Becker, etc. because they never saw them play and are too lazy to bother with the past, so those guys are immaterial. I think after the Big Three retire, they will fade from people's consciousness very quickly because there "irrelevant" in the here and now. Once someone like Tsistipas or Zverev start winning multiple slams, the big three will be regarded as "mugs" or simply pushed out of the conversation.
Only serious tennis fans will care about their individual legacies, just as few care about the legacies of former greats like Rosewall, Connors or even Laver. Someone will come along in a few years and win 2 French Open's, then many people will idiotically claim, "oh, he could beat Rafa with a blindfold! He's so much better on clay than Nadal!" -- never realizing the insanity of the claim. Presentism rules.

Hmm… I get Nadal’s name is there and he participates in the overall direction. But he’s not training anyone like, say, Bolletieri did.
