Just switched from PS RF97 and regular PS97 v13s to this amazing racquet, so far i'm loving it, especially the hard hitting flat shots.
I was wondering if anyone who is familiar with this frame has any string reccomendation?
Atm i strung my 2 pairs with RPM Blast 1,25 and ALU Power 1,25, but looking to try other setups next time i restring.
Cheers

i've been playing with the 1st gen RF97 for a few years and am trying to make the switch to the Gravity Pro. I enjoy hitting with the Head, serve racquet head speed feels effortless and volleys
have more feel. The Gravity does everything the reviews say in my experience. More than met my high expectations!

But... the RF is so addicting. I double fault more with it as courting the always fleeting Lady Spin is a day to day challenge. Hitting flat serves only when I'm really feeling good and the shoulder says yes but those backhand slices and effortless volleys are the deciding factors. I can't switch.

thus I'll stick to the Wilson but bring out the Gravity when a nice change of pace is in order. It'll keep reminding me of how much i love that RF. for now lol

I have isospeed professional multi at 54lbs in the Head and am very happy.

The RF97 is strung at 60lbs with Tournament Big Hitter Silver7 full poly. no arm issues unless i play for more than 3 hours, double only btw.

Hey, anything on this?

Hi Omega,
I’ve been using the gravity pro for a few months now but actually haven’t tried a full bed of poly in it. I’ve been using vs gut mains 17g and 4G soft cross. Love this combo. I also have another one with a full bed of x1 biphase which has been great but with slightly less control.

I’m really enjoying softer set ups in this frame. But it all depends on what your used to.

I use thinner gauge strings. Currently, have Weiss Cannon Red Ghost (1.18mm) in the Mains, and Gosen OG Sheep Micro Super (1.30mm) in the Crosses (strung at 50M/50C). In my other one I still have the Head Lynx string that the racquet came with (not sure of tension).

I have many strings I want to try. I like the current setup, I also like MSV Co-Focus 1.18mm, Völkl Cyclone 18L (1.15mm), MSV Focus Hex +38, Grapplesnake Tour Sniper, Tier 1 Black Knight (1.18mm), and many others. I will also be trying many hybrid variations.

There is a thread dedicated to this racquet here on TT... read it and you will find lots more info. Probably a reason people aren't responding, as there is a lot of info there.

Hope this helps though.

Going to reiterate what most have said about the GP already, 1.20mm or less in this racquet only. I experimented with 17g or 1.25 and 1.23 strings in this racquet for the past few months and you just don't get enough power from that thickness, and its also less comfortable. Possibly the only exception would be any of the "Power" labeled 17g's, like Adrenaline, Firestorm, KB Max Power, etc.....I haven't tried them yet, but I would think they would provide some needed pop to this stick. One other thing that the 1.20mm and less strings help with is launch angle. With the 18x20 pattern and large head size, the launch angle can be rather low and the 1.23 and higher sizes don't help this.
