I'm super excited. As you all know, I have not been posting too much over the course of the last few weeks due to being extremely busy with work, and I am moving from Miami to Ft. Lauderdale in ordet to be closer to work. Anyway, this Saturday is my move date and wanted to post an image of where I am moving. This club has 23 tennis courts (3 hard, 20 clay). I could literally walk out of my balcony on the first floor onto the courts. The building surrounded in red is where I will be moving. The yellow box marks my balcony.

You could imagine, everyone that lives their is a tennis fanatic. :) I can't wait!

Thanks ilovecarlos! Bailey has yet to see her new pad>> but with a closed in little park right ouside the balcony, I'm sure she is going to love it! Unfortunately there is not a pet friendly pool, but she doesn't care too much about rules, so I'm sure she will be jumping in the pool anyways!

Too funny about the Jefferson's theme song. Now I can't get it out of my head. I'll post some photos from the view of the balcony after I move in. Whenever it gets too cold in Cananda let me know! I have a spare bedroom. :)

Comes strutting into the Bistro...all smiles...looks around...anyone here to help share my joy???? Cocktails are on me tonight....let the bubbly flow for all legals and Shirley Temples for the young 'uns.....maybe I'll whip up a pan of paella for a dinner special tonight;)

I have taken a lot of them this week and I will do some sorting on my two flights back home. Hopefully I'll figure out some place to host them so that I can share the link here for anyone who is interested. I seem to have a lot of photos of Jamie Murray, I think I'm developing a bit of crush on him (it's the big hair he's sporting these days).

Hey everyone.Diegaa asked me in another thread why i havnt been on lately and how im keeping,so i thought i would just post a reply in here.
I was doing my exams like May/June time and then ive just been working and stuff recently and so i got out of the routine of coming on here lots. So I'm very good thanks and I also got my exam results today, I got 2Bs and a C so im really happy because its a lot better than i was expecting.

Sigh. I seem to continue my suck singles trend this season. Lost in R1 in my next tournament 3-6, 4-6 after being unable to hold serve most of the match. Really sucky performance.

I WANT MY SERVING BACK!!!

Perfect! Two must search better than one atleast.

My singles set scores since last time I was in the zone:

0-6, 0-6, 1-6, 1-6, 3-6, 4-6

I wonder how that series will continue...

My doubles set scores looks better though:

0-6, 5-7, 6-3, 7-5

But that's been the story of this year - I've sucked major time in singles but has played pretty OK doubles.

I had a hard time getting motivated this week. Maybe its the fact that I have a vacation coming up and the US Open visit right after or that my birthday is around the corner.

Either way. I know its 9:40AM but let me celebrate like I would at a certain Delaware Beach (Dewey).

Admit it he has one big ugly toe. That things was not human. Like a waffle iron with a blister on the side. I guess something had to be unattractive on him huh.

Yeah, tennis players, like dancers, usually have pretty ugly feet...but hey, that can be overlooked;) Hey, he had a really good run and that makes me smile...thru my tears...sniff sniff sniff

Thanks...I will share some of your jello.....yes, he's done amazingly well lately...got his ranking to 19 now....he started the year in the 40's...I'm happy and proud just bummed that things were so one sided with Lleyton...Not sure if he's playing pilot pen yet...haven't seen the draw yet....Hope he does well at the Open...counting the days...achhhh....nothing will get done in my house during those 2 weeks! I even prepare meals in advance so as not to miss the action:lol:

Yes! I found my serve again! Just played a little tennis with a friend and for the first time in many *many* matches I beat him! And not just in one set... But four. In four hours :)

My score: 6-3, 6-4, 6-3, 6-1

Best of 3 or best of 5 set matches are for wimps! :)

And best of all, my serve started working much better again. Muahahaha!!!

Rounds are on me! And I'll have a large beer to celebrate!

Ugh! Had trouble with the tennis director of the biggest championship hardcourt event in my area. Rain and some mistakes, I had agree to play three matches on day #2 (USTA max is 2). I had to agree or take a forfeit in a Championship event. I won my matches until the last one of the day. I felt great and full of energy but unlucky me ran into one of those players who just couldn't miss. Net cords, shanks, reaching volleys, guessing right when I hit a couple of overheads, i threw everything at him except the kitchen sink and he had an answer! After a joyful discsussion after he suprised me with a 6-2, 6-2 loss, he said " you know how you just have one of those days where you just can't miss". I could of wrung his neck with his comment. I couldn't believe he survived the match by the condition of his sweating and panting. I was dry as a bone and felt like I could of played one more match.

His luck must of run out as I just learned he lost in the semis due to a pulled muscle in the third set. Apparently hitting everything sweet against me doesnt mean i wont make you run for it *big smile*. Alas, what could of been. He played well.

I need a miller lite follwed by a red bull and vodka to get the images of him returning every one of my "kill shots" back.

p.s. My vacation and the US Open cannot come any sooner! Sorry for the vent.

Anyway, I had one too many drinks last night in the Bistro :) Luckily for me, Bailey was designated driver and took care of me. Here is a snap shot:

This is a view of the apartment from outside the balcony. The apartment is two floors, so my room window can be seen on the upper left (although it is being blocked by the tree.

This view is the play ground for the dogs. Bailey is loving it! She was actually getting sun this weekend and watching a doubles match. It was so funny seeing her follow the ball back and forth. :)

There's my favorite little girl...what a face..she loves the camera dosen't she? But ah Drak..isn't she a little young to have her license? Maybe she's just got her learners...she is, afterall, driving with an adult in the car;) Great pics of the new place...I'm totally jealous...glad to see you can Bailey are adjusting nicely...looks like a great place for Bailey to hang out and be a doggy

I guess you could technically say there is an adult in the car, but he (me) is passed out. LOL Just kidding of course. :)

Thanks! The place is great. I'm realy happy with it although I have not been able to play there as of yet> too busy moving and putting everything away. The entire playground is closed off and specifically for dogs. All the owners in this particular building are dog owners, and they had this area closed off specifically so that dogs could have a playground. She is loving it, and has made a bunch of friends already!

Change of plans CC/Bette. I guess Moya inspired me to play tennis instead of getting "um drunk" at dewey beach. Going to Newport Rhode Island to play on the ITF grass courts and simulataneously they are having a seniors tour this weekend (http://www.tennisfame.com/). I have my match set for monday morning, so send good vibes. I'll try to take pics and restrain myself from a Boris Becker dive.. but no promises. Then off to the US Open for a day or two.

Topaz, you have your tennis blog ready for my US Open trip. I have my camera ready and waiting to be guest blogger. On my hit list of people to see. Moya, Federer, Nadal, Gasquet, ... the list goes on.

Any requests?

David Ferrer please @ US Open. Not enough coverage here in the US on him. Was not happy to miss the quarter last week btwn him and Davydenko. You must catch the seniors event! that was one of the most enjoyable parts of Wimby (in addition to doubles live). Courier there please. :D Enjoy. How cool you get to play!

Ah yes Ferrer. I can use my spanish on him. Hopefully he is with Moya so i can knock out 2 requests at once.

Courier is a nice guy (now), very intense when he was a teenager. I am sure to meet him since he is the head honcho of those senior tours.

One person I will refrain from meeting (hopefully) is Johnny Mac. His commentary enough is torture. I can't imagine what he's like off camera.

p.s. Wondering if TW will give me something for wearing a tennis warehouse t-shirt during play. LOL. One can wish huh *hint hint*

now see....mcenroe is someone i'd like to meet. if you do meet him, you will have to say "Hello!" from me. i was absolutely amazed how the brits seemed to LOVE this guy. have just started reading his bio.... too bad ivanisevicwill not be there. he was hysterical when he played with pioline vs. cash and krajicek at wimby. at one point after a bad shot, he handed his raquet to one of the ball girls and took someone's glasses from the crowd and took his spot as a ball kid. the girl actually got to hit at wimby with 3 former wimbledon finalists (2champs)!
