best string under $15 for tension maintanance?

Hi,

I was wondering what are some good strings out there that are fairly cheap, but hold tension well. Right now I'm using BBR, and it felt amazing at the tight tension for a little bit, but now I can't seem to keep my shots under control at all, and I feel that this sudden loss of control may have something to do with tension loss. The string is also starting to feel harsh now (I had NO problems even in the beginning with the string and my shoulder until now), which tells me that they've just about lost their playability.

Since these strings didn't last very long in terms of playability, does anyone know a control oriented string that also maintains its tension well, as well as lasts for at least 3-4 weeks or so?

Btw, although I can kind of afford luxy, I would really really like something cheaper than it if possible that still has the qualities I mentioned before.

Hybrid of Babolat Tonic in the mains and Gosen Micro in the cross.
Tonic is $26, gosen is around 3.
Comes to about 15 per stringing and you cannot beat the feel and tension maintenance

LaserFibre Laser Supreme is touted as being one of the best tension holders, if you're into multis.

I have NOT tried this string myself.. but there are lots of posts on this board that claim this.

Another vote for gut mains and syn crosses

I have to say for all those who claim that some string is just like a gut,
there is no such thing.

It's like saying, Ford is just like Ferrari, like somebody else said it here.

yeah, value gut mains and cheap synthetic(forten sweet) or even nylon
like Ashaway Liberty.

Laserfibre is a worth a try if you like crisp multi's..
