Lendl's bad, but that's just his accent. He's actually cool and confident.
Stan Smith is a great guy, but very stiff. I saw him at a USPTA thing about fifteen years ago...and met him recently.
Al Gore used to be awful.

Makes his success as a comedian/actor all-the-more
amazing. Sort of like James Earl Jones. Amazing voice, etc. Most people
don't know he had a major speech impediment he had to overcome.

Yeah, Bush is a moron with an MBA from Harvard...last I checked, Harvard doesn't exactly toss those things in your window as you drive by...hmmm, I wonder if YOU could earn an MBA from Harvard?
As for Bush being relaxed when giving speeches, I guess I must have missed the ones you've seen, 'cause he always looks very uncomfortable giving speeches to me (of course, if my speech-giving was as bad as his, I'd be uncomfortable as hell too!)

If your parents are powerful you can definitely get into any school you want. Harvard classmates noted that Bush said the stupidest things in the classroom.
He was a C average student at Yale, and while he was accepted to Harvard business school, most of the time classmates would remember a guy chewing tobacco in the back of the class, not really paying attention and just getting by.

So, GHWB having been a Yale alumni may have gotten W into Yale, W still had to earn the grades to graduate. (As an aside, it should be noted that W had a higher GPA at Yale than Algore did at Harvard). And there is no evidence whatsoever that GHWB had ANYTHING to do with getting W in to Harvard Business School, let alone earn his grades for him. He may have "just gotten by" at Harvard Business School, but I'm guessing that a GPA of 2.0 from Harvard is harder to achieve and more valuable than a 3.0 - 4.0 at a lot of other schools. (As another aside, Algore FLUNKED out of Divinity school, and QUIT law school).

Wow, if all that you say is true then it is even more incredible that such a "booksmart" man was able to become the most incompetent President in this nation's history. But I guess it takes incredible intelligence to: be able to take a country to war against a nation that did not attack us; cost the US thousands of lives; ring up billion dollar deficits; virtually forget about catching the man that orchestrated the 9/11 attacks; and butcher our Constitution.......all in under 7 years! Your Einstein sure pulled it off, :-(

Some of you seem to miss the point of my post. It's not to show my support of President Bush; any regular reader of this message board knows about that. It's to TRY to show some of you that although you may not agree with W's policies, and that's fine, but the biggest mistake so many of you "intellectual" lib/dems make is underestimating people. He doesn't think like me, so he must be intellectually inferior. How many of you lib/dems on this board are Ivy League graduates?
