Racquets for fast swingers

Ok so I have been playing tennis for about 6 months. Originally I started playing with a Wilson nCode nFusion racquet, very light only 9.2 oz with 15x20string pattern and 103 sq in head. It started out okay, but I quickly realized there is too much power in the racquet for my fast full swings. I played baseball for 8 years, so I have very fast hard swings. So I decided I need to find a racquet with less power.

A few weeks ago, I did a demo with the Wilson nPro Open. It considerably helped my game, but required perfect form when doing strokes, which I haven't perfected yet being only in the game for 6 months. So now I am demo'ing a Prince O3 Tour and right now I completely love it. I get great topspin, I'm landing shots on the base line. I really like that its heavier, evenly balanced.

So my question after all that is how do you know when to stick with a racquet? I started searching through Babolat and Head racquets, and they all have some low powered racquets. Should I just demo a lot of racquets to be sure of the one I want to invest in? Thanks for any advice.

the microgel radical was good for fast swings as well as the extreme & pro versions...for babolat the pure storm and pure control series are good for fast swings but then again with the nfusion you can play with it and still have a fast swing...you just gotta adjust and put more spin on the ball...i used to use my PD and loved it because i could hit as hard as i wanted and it would never go out but one broke one day (only had one on me) during a school match and i borrowed my friend's nfusion and i found it played better than my PD it was just too light

Yes, demoing is a good way to go, if you want to swing fast, I would strongly recommend Head Radical (fxp or better yet MG if you can afford)for you at this level, with maybe a bit of lead tape on it.

But, if you want to slow your swings down and work on your anticipation and control then you really want to wield a blade with some serious heft and precision then you should really check out mid sized frames like iPrestige or Classic Prestige (if you can find) or maybe Wilson K90

IMO Speedport Tour is far superior to O3 Tour. O3 was really atrocious on backhands for some reason - no feel or controll.

I am demoing three racquets currently: Prince 03 Tour, Head Microgel Extreme MP, and Head Microgel Radical OS. I only played for a little bit with the two Head Racquets, but they felt pretty nice. I don't think i need an OS racquet, I like them around 100 sq in. The Extreme was really good on my backhands. Money isn't an issue, I am just hoping to find the best racquet that will suit my game, which is why I just seek suggestions from others, but I know ultimately I have to make the decision. :-D but I appreciate all the responses!

Any prince O model is going to be perfect for a hard and fast swinger. I owned an O3 white and currently own a Speedport Black. The new speedport generation is a great improvement over the original O series in terms of stability. If you enjoy the O3 tour then you would fall in love with the speedport tour or possibly even the speedport black.

blah. just got done playing.. played mostly with the O3 Tour and the MG Extreme. I have better forehands on the O3 Tour and backhands on the MG Extreme, though on both sometimes I'd hit too hard and my forehands would be a little long. I know it's not the racquet, that my form isn't perfect and thats why the ball zooms, but it still has me confused on which racquet would be better for me. I know I need a new one, the nfusion i play with has way too much power.. but I wish it could be clear of the one that would be better for me.

I'd say demo MG Radical before committing.
