Has anyone ever felt that Head grip shape makes you wanna go flatter grip and 2HBH?

Hey all,

Bought my AA radical limited. Adapted to it almost right away, no question asked.

In fact, something weird happen. I normally use semi western forehand with my knuckle directly on the smaller bevel. However using the Head for first time, my hands naturally turned it so that my knuckles are on the large bevel for forehands. It's the first time I am actually hitting balls just as normal with my knuckle on the large bevel.

On the backhand, I turned the racuqet for a one hander. However the 1 HBH feels weird, it's as tho my hands cant find a stable grip on the handle.

Came back home and tried holding the racquet like a 2 katana. The handle is like a sword handle. felt just right like that.

Then a thought came out of my head that the grip shape, being like what you'd find on a sword, is kinda unique, and makes your natural grip on the handle change position if you are coming off of rounder stuffs, like Wilson and Prince.

Just my 2 cents. And boredom.

i use a full western grip, and the shape has never made me want to change it while hitting. i will say, however, that i really dont like the shape of heads grips. they just dont fit well in my hand with a western grip. its the single reason i probably wont switch to a head racket for as long as keep my current grip (ie. until i get old enough that my shoulder cant take the arm rotation. :) )

never used a racquet that made me want to use a 2hander. have not tried that particular racquet, doubt it would make a difference. have tried other head racquets.

ive definately noticed this with the forehand. sometimes my hand feels down right uncomfortable hitting a semiwestern forehand, although ive never had the urge to use a 2 handed backhand with a head grip.

Isnt it? Doesnt it feel like the grip doesnt fall into the palm of your hand when you grab semi western? Like with a rounder grip of wilson and prince, the grip nestle itself into your palm when you grab semi western. But with Head, it almost feels likeit leaves a space.
