Bjorn Borg using a K90!

Interesting that Borg was carrying what looked like an old Head bag. Wonder if he didn't like the S&M-style vinyl Wilson bag?

The K90 feels more like a wood racquet than any other racquet on the market today so it's not at all surprising that Borg would choose to use a K90.

BP, i don't agree that, for that the K90 is too stiff, there are others out there who have that noodle feeling that the woodies had...

But wood racquets don't feel like noodles to me. They have that heavy, small head, box beam, raw, natural feel to me. And that's what the K90 feels like to me. Have you hit with a K90 and a Jack Kramer woodie side-by-side?

I would agree. The K90 feels more like the old Wilson Pro Staff Woodie than any other racket I have played with.

Nope i didnt, but i played with many older Donnay's and recently a Laver composite mid and it feels like a noodle, those sticks are so flexible, i couldnt play with it, ok the strings were gone but still, i think the flex of these sticks is around 35-40

When people say "noodle" in referring to tennis racquets, I immediately think of Volkl and Boris Becker but never a woodie.

are u kidding me?

No, my favorite brand of boxer tights are - by far - Bjørn Borg - the model called "Mens short" is far better than Calvin Klein, Armani, D&G, BOSS, Bruno Banni and all the other stuff out there :D

They are my favorites and my GF she also prefers Bjørn Borg under wear as well

Borg is using the Wilson logo on that racket, k90 or not. So is he being somewhat sponsored?

.... did he (also) phone up Wilson and demand "Fed's exact racquet"?? :D

How many does that make now?

Sampras
Courier
Stich
Borg

Sampras and Courier got some of Federer's nCode pj racquet (k90), Stich and Borg(?) got k90 with k90 pj.

I really hope Edberg does not start using Roger Federer k90 too!

Just before the 2 minute mark, on the Wimbledon tape, look how close to the net McEnroe was, he really was amazingly quick back then.

ClubHoUno: we need to work out a deal. I can't get Borg gear here in the States. I'll pay you to ship them to me.

That's fine with me, if you know what model you like and how many pairs you want me to ship to you.

You must also realize, that there's a reason why a lot of us guys from Europe buys tennis gear and golf gear in US placed internetshops - the prices in Europe are very expensive compared to in the states.

Let me give you an example. I have to pay 2,000 Danish Kroners for a Head Microgel Prestige racket in my local tennis shop. If I buy 2 or more, I can buy them for 1,600 Danish kroners each. 2,000 Danish Kroners is approx. $400 - that is twice the price you pay in the US

So of course I have to pay tax ( corresponding to 27,5% of total amount) of the rackets and pay for the expensive shipment from the Tennis store in the US to me in Denmark - this will amount to circa $60 shipment and 1.275 * $200= $255 + the $60 for shipment. If I also buy some other stuff, which I tend to do ;) - then a Head Microgel Prestige Racket will cost me circa $275, if I buy 2 or more. This still saves me $125 compared to the rpice I pay in a danish shop (and this is with a discount from my local danish tennis shop included  )

The street price in a normal sport shop for a Head Microgel Prestige racket can be as expensive as 2,300 Danish Kroners.......this is more than $500

Going back to topic, the Bjørn Borg mens short cost - when you buy a two pack - 299 Danish kroners. This is circa $60, that is $30 a pair.
I think the shipment from me to you in the states will cost me in the region of 350 Danish Kroners, if I choose the cheapest way (2-3 weeks delivery time) - this is circa $65 in total shipment cost.

Maybe you can go directly to an online store and have them ship them to you directly. Most of the online stores understand english and will give you an answer if they can ship to you directly in the US.
If not I will be more than happy to help you out here........

Check out these links to Danish online shops with Bjørn Borg underwear - if you want a tight boxer with lasting fit and normal length legs, you should go for "Mens Shorts". These tights will stay tight and not get "loose legs" during the day. If you prefer the same tight fit but some what shorter legs, you should go for the model called "Mens short shorts" - same fit as "Mens shorts" but 2" shorter legs. I prefer the mode with longer legs tough.

I've tried them all - and I settled on the Bjørn Borg "Mens shorts" model in all black - and instead of my girlfriend buying me lots of colors and new models, which I end up throwing out anyway, I simply just bought 40 pairs of all black Bjørn Borg "Mens shorts" last year and couldn't be happier with the fit (the store gave me 15% discount)
