k-blade 93 and stability

does anyone think that the k-blade 93 is unstable?

and can someone compare it with the k6.1 18x20? is it more or less forgiving?

ive hit with the kblade 93, but not the k6.1 18x20. i like the kblade, i just think its unstable, and only forgiving if i work for every stroke.

if it helps, im an all around player at about 3.5-4.0.

my old racket is the ntour.

It's not unstable to me. I'm currently playing at a 4.0 level and I play some 4.5-5.0 players regularly and I'm able to handle everything they hit at me (unless I miss the sweetspot but then there aren't many racquets that are stable when you mishit them).

If you think it's unstable try adding weight to 3 and 9 o clock. If its still not good enough, then just get the K 6.1 18x20. It's quite a load (12.3) and very stable. Excellent control. IMO way better than the Kblade Tour.

yeah, you will have to work for your strokes at your current level, because it's a player's stick, it wont do anything on its own, except maybe drop volleys. and even then you have to have soft hands.

The K blade tour is not unstable but is nowhere near as stable as the the k95 18x20. This is mostly due to the much higher swingweight of the k95. The k blade feels much more maneuverable because of the lower swingweight. The plough effect is also much better on the k95, also because of the swingweight. Touch shots are much easier with the k blade. You can hit touch with the k95, but it will take some adjustment, depending on what you are using now. A lot of people may find the swingweight too high, especially as a match wears on. The k95 is also much stiffer as well. They are both very good racquets and I enjoyed hitting with them both. You may also want to try the k95 16x18 as even though it supposedly has the same swingweight as the 18x20 version, it seems a little lighter to me, at least with the couple different ones I have tried (which is hardly definitive).

If you can handle the swingweight, I personally prefer the k95 (and am switching to it myself) but you really can't go wrong with either. Choosing will depend on your game, your priorities in a racquet, and your aspirations.

so what about the kblade 98? is it more or less stable?

i think the kblade 93 might be too much for me right now, and the kblade 98 has a similar weight and balance to the ntour, but i really like the maneuverability of the kblade line.

help?

In general, the lighter the frame, the less stable it is. Comparing the k98 to the k98 tour, They both have about the same swingweight but the tour is heavier and more head light so in the end I would say they are pretty close. I also find the 95 slightly stiffer and providing slightly more pop. I would always chose the heavier racquet, but that may not be best for you.

I haven't hit with the 98 as much as the 93 but I prefer the 93 of the two. Try them both and see which you prefer. While the similar swingweight makes them appear very close, the tour is definitely more demanding of the player than the 98.

Balance and head-lightness is different on the 98 compared to the KBT 93. The 98 less stable than either .

I've not played with the KBT, but it is heavier than the 98 and should be more stable.

Have played with the k95 16 x 18 and that is a big beast, v stable (but I found it too heavy).

As somone says here if you found the 93 unstable then that may not only be to do with the specs but is characteristic of a smalled stringbed if not middled.

and that's fair enough, what nCode did you play with. The Kblade 98 is a v nice racquet and does everything well (esp slice surprisingly) it's a good package taht works well

The KBT 93 is a little unstable but nothing a little lead tape won't fix. I put 8 strips of lead tape at 3 and 9 o'clock and now the racquet is very stable and has great "plow through". You dont have to put that much lead tape on but just a little will help out a lot.

The only unstable racquet I have ever hit with as the mfil 300 I hated that thing more than any other stick ever!!! Kblade has some decent weight to it, if you are used to a k90 or so you might think it is unstable since you are not used to that sort of mass, but if you go from a lighter stick the kbt you are going to think it is stable. It is all a matter of the weight of your previous stick.

very stable. the wilson grip lends itself to this also.

yeah i used ntour then switched to nblade and finally kblade93...

it is not unstable... as far as i'm concerned it's much more stable than the ntour... not a big fan of the 95 series cos it seem i can't get much feel on it.. but u just need to play some more with both and just pick one you like best...
