Official 2008 U.S. Open TW Meetup thread.

I'll be there for the day sessions on the first two days of Open (Monday 8/25 with my wife; and Tuesday 8/26 with a client).

I normally only get US Open grounds passes, but I splurged and put down some serious, serious dough for Row B courtside seats at Arthur Ashe on Monday (as well as courtside seats at Louis Armstrong on Tuesday). Got them through one of those third party vendors online.

On Monday, I'll have to pat Mirka on the back as I take my seat!!!!!! I'm pumped! (OK, OK, maybe I won't be in Mirka's section, but I'll give Nick Bolliterri a chop instead!)

Don't ask how much...; I'm seriously embarrassed to say.

I don't know how often we will be venturing outside of Ashe on Monday, but I'm sure we'll wonder around at least a little, despite those seats. Drak: We've met before; are you there that day? Others?

Drakulie will be there Tuesday. Look for the rowdy crowd around the heinken keg guy.

I'll be at the US Open on Thursday, Aug 28 with my 13 yr. old son. We have nosebleed seats-s. 311 in the Arthur Ashe stadium for the day session, but that was the best I could get through the USTA.

This is the 1rst time for us at the US Open. In addition to the matches of course, any advice on must see things that a US Open virgin should see during the one day we are there?

Would love to meet some of you guys ( and girls) in person if you are there that day.

I decided not to get the mini-pass this year since they increased the package cost :( might get a couple of ground passes on the first week.

jcstennis, I'll be at the Thursday day session. I'll be wearing a Tennis Canada t-shirt...look for a good looking dude wearing that shirt (just kidding!!), but I will be in that T-shirt.....I'm very psyched as this is my first time at a grand slam event.

I'm not a big poster here at TW but but just wanted to mention I will be there tomorrow (Tuesday).

It's a bit late but but I'm thinking of staying over and getting a ground's pass for Wednesday as well.

Does anyone have any suggestions on places to stay?

Went today, some nice matches today. Trying to get tickets to go again friday, not sure though.

Gael Monfils has a monster serve...hit me twice :)

I'll be there tomorrow 8/28 during the day. Probabily wear a Humane society of North Pinellas Charity Tennis tornament T shirt and a Yankee hat

My wife has two day tickets; grounds passes+Arther Ashe for Wed Sept 3rd (paid $68 ea. will sell for $50 ea.) Section 302 row D seats 9&10. She can overnight them or you can pick them up at the Grand Hyatt.

So, Mrs. mrw & I arose at 5am, showered, coffeed and packed a lunch and headed to the local tennis center to catch our bus to the Open. Uh oh, lots of people milling about but NO BUS. after a 2 hour wait, we pressed for a refund and departed. :(

I met up with LPShanet at the Thursday August 28 day session. We had a great chat. Super knowledgeable and a really nice guy Its great to meet new friends like L :)
