I think it's true though that love/hate sort of strong emotion can not only affect pupils, but actually cause one eye to be larger than the other, as of the time that the subject is undergoing the emotion.

^^ yeah the scientific methods should be questioned here. It is much easier to measure distance rather than velocity in this sort of contest. Does anyone have credible evidence or at least unsupported claim in excess of 2 meters?
