Im 15 years old 6 feet tall and weigh 180 pounds. Im a really strong kid, but i could use a lot of work on the abdominal region. I mean im not fat lol, but i think i should lose like 20lbs. What are the best excercises i can do, and what is a diet i should be following to lose weight.

your not too far off. You should put more emphasis on cardio because that burns fat and since you already said you are a strong kid I am sure you have strong abs under your abdominal region.

The quickest way to safely get rid of fat is to restrict your calories (so you have a caloric deficit. Not hard to do at all if you're playing tennis; chances are you're already in a deficit unless your mom cooks like a Korean) and do HIIT along with weightlifting. We should have a sticky that just says that.

a lot of my friends weigh around 140ish and are around 5' 10"

i'm 5' 9" and weigh 170 currently. i good weight for me would be around 160lb.

unless you want to be fairly skinny i wouldn't aim for 160lbs. i would assume 170lb would be a good weight for you if you build muscle instead of concentrating on losing weight.

dieting is always important. eat your greens and lay off the cookies and fast food. as for exercising if you're doing it for tennis i would concentrate more on sprints than long distance since tennis is a game of quick steps. nothing whoops your butt into shape like doing ladder runs.

The op is not overweight, he just has high bodyfat. There are 2 ways to solve the problem. The first way is to add muscle while losing fat which means he doesn't need to lose any weight on the scale. This is actually the difficult way to lose bodyfat so I think a combination of calorie cutting and weight training would be the answer. Instead of focusing on losing 20 lbs., op should try to drop around 5-10 lbs. and train with weights at the same time. That body will tighten up before you know it.

Hmm... don't just look at height and weight; if you are only 15 and you have love handles, you probably could stand to lose a few pound of _fat_ (not just weight).

If you are already eating relatively healthy, try jogging 30min 3~5 times a week. You should start seeing results very soon.

I would just suggest you to not pay attention too much about your weight and just lift dumbbells, bench press, etc. At your age, height, the weight seems to just be around your range.
