Anyone have Mcnuggets recently?

I just had some mcnuggets and they're fantastic. Can't recall having nuggets in ages. Something about Mcdonalds food, its like anything thats slapped with the "Mc" prefix WILL be delicious.

I like Wendy's nuggests better but I do like Mc D's also. I prefer the Hot Mustard sauce though the Sweet and Sour sauce is pretty good too. In fact, the Hot Mustard sauce goes great with the fries also!!!

Yes, McDonalds is always delicious. :D Yum Yum. I'm a big fan of the single and double quarter pounders. I get mine plain. I don't really think of them though, when I compare dining out burgers. They're almost in a different category. I tell my wife that they are to burgers what fruit snacks are to fruit.

Their salads are awesome (grilled chicken ceasar with balsamic vinegarette is like 300 calories and very filling and tasty), the chicken nuggets are awesome, and those new 1/3-pound Angus burgers are awesome too. And I love the crispy ranch snack wraps.

A regular old plain double cheeseburger is one of my guilty pleasures.

Their fries still suck. BK and Arby's know fries.

I think Mcnuggets used to be made from pulverized chicken, but they're 100% white meat now.

I thought they used to be made of pulverized meat.. mostly pork. Giggle, white meated chicken nuggets, how silly. What happened to those greyish looking nuggets?

No, they were always chicken. Used to be moderately processed chicken meat, mostly dark, with some occasional tendon pieces.

Now they're all pretty good quality minced white meat.

What's remarkable about McDs is what they can do instantly. I went in a few weeks ago early in the morning and asked for something called the Big Breakfast. In not more than 20 seconds they handed me a plate with about 6 different items, none of them exquisite but all perfectly adequate and tasty, and cooked exactly right -- everything was the right temperature, the sausage was juicy, the biscuit tender and flaky, the egg just moist enough to be appealing, the potato crisp outside and moist inside. Their systems engineering is remarkable to crank this stuff out with such speed and volume and keep it palatable and cheap (the breakfast was about 4 bucks).

Chick-fil-A nuggets are better, but they're certainly more expensive.

Checkers has the best fries, but McDs are definitely a close second.

None of them make a decent grilled chicken sandwich though.

Really? I cant find better fries around here. Mac fries beat BK, Wendys by far, specially just out of the frier. Mmmmmmmmmmmmm so good. Actually, in the US, I didnt really love them, had some at Disney because that smell kills ya, but yeah, the taste was a bit different from the Mac fries I can get over here. You can always taste the difference in "culture" comparing 1) Macdonalds, and 2) Coke

Always a different taste in every different country you go to

Salt, sugar and fat (for taste) and perfectly portioned product for consistant cook times. Everything else is dependent upon the time and product coordination skills of the manager on duty.

Burger King has the best fries

Mcdonalds has the best nuggets

Wendys has the best burgers

With that said, it has been 2 months since I have had fast food. I am cutting the crap out of my life, just started getting rid of junk food and soda. P90X is starting soon and I want it to be effective.

Tell me about it! When I was a kid, I ordered some and they freaked me out because of the color and they were rubbery, so I went to BK or Wendy's instead. I've stopped eating fast food though since working at a fast food place at one point, and seeing how processed everything is, and how unnatural it is from it's origins. Combine that with reading Omnivore's Dilemma, and watching Fast Food inc, and I do not need any motivation to keep it as a thing of the past (except the occasional Taco Supreme from Taco Bell once or twice a year - I don't know what it is, but it seems like that's one thing I cannot quit on)

Man, I hate you OP (not really). Just got back from a 4 piece and a regular ol' hamburger due to this thread! Delicious, and fortunately not to fattening.

I love Chicken McNuggets. I always want to eat a bucketload of them. Then 30 minutes after eating I feel like I'm going to die of a heart attack. Good ole Mcdonalds.

the only way i can eat a mcnugget, or the junior chicken, or the mcchicken is if i don't look at what i've bitten into.

the first time i treid mcnuggets, i loved them. while eating one of them, i happen to look at what i was biting, and what i saw was a vein and a composite of indistinguishable chicken "meat." now, whenever i do have mcnuggets, i make sure not to look at them. same for the sandwiches i mentioned. normally, i stick to the grilled chicken or crispy chicken sandwiches.

Well the 4-piece McNuggets has been on the dollar menu for a while. So 7 bucks would get you 28 and 20 bucks would get you 80...

What's with all the people saying BK has better fries or other such bs... it all varies by location. I've been to McDonalds where the fries were disgustingly bad, but of the restaurants near where I live, McD's wins at fries, BK has good burgers, Wendy's and McD's both win at nuggets and chicken sandwiches.

With the utter popularity of McDonalds, etc., it sure ain't to difficult to figure out why Americans are regarded as being quite an unhealthy lot...

there's nothing like 20 pieces of mcnuggets with honey mustard and a fillet-o-fish sandwich. great stuff!

PPL is an expert at mcdonalds. You got to trust someone who looks like the hamburglar! Right?

Its hard to beat the McNugget. Here in Harrisburg the McD's give military 50% off if you spend more than 6 bucks.

And yes PPL can demolish McDs

The current McD's apple pie is the "baked apple pie." It's good but the older version, the "fried apple pie" was great.

It had a flaky crust and the inside was so hot that you were guaranteed a burnt tongue. That's probably why they changed it, lol.

Apparently a few places in the USA and all of the McD's overseas still sell the fried version.

Interesting. In England, McDonalds food is remarkably exact across the country. Could this be because most McDonalds are franchises in the US, whereas over here the majority are centrally owned?
