nblade 106, Kennex 7g or ki5

I currently use the Wilson nblade 106. I was looking for just a touch more power and would probably prefer a 100" head. It looks like the Pro Kennex 7g might be what I'm looking for or maybe even the ki5. I don't have to have the extra length. One of my concerns is the stiffness. In the past I have not been able to go over 63 or 64 (RDC) in stiffness and I was wondering if the kinetic technology makes the 7g play softer than its stiffness rating. I have found the nblade to be arm friendly (RDC 60), but I am concerned about the stiffness rating of the 7g. I have briefly hit with the ki5x and it was borderline too heavy for me, but I think I can adjust. How easy is the 7g to swing compared to the ki5x?

Would the 7g have a little more power than the nblade 106? Does the ki5 have more power than the nblade 106? I have added a little weight to the handle of the nblade but not to the hoop. I don't think I'm looking for a tweener racket as all tweeners have seemed to stiff and eventually either hurt my arm or shoulder. The Volkl BB10 is an example. I liked the way it played, but it eventually hurt my arm. Would you consider the 7g a tweener or a player's racket? I guess I'm looking for something between a players racket and a tweener. Please advise and thanks.

KI 5 has nice pop to it, but plays very comfy on the arm. Definitely recommend a demo. I use to play the KBlade, but was to stiff for me.

It looks like the kblade tour and 98 is quite a bit stiffer than the nblade 98 and 106. The kblade team (104) is flexible like the nblades. Which kblade did you use? How was the ki 5 compared to the kblade that you used (power, comfort, feel, etc.)?

Did you ever use the 7g? How different is it compared to the ki 5? Which has more power?

Has anyone ever used the 7g and found that it caused tennis elbow or was not arm friendly?

Maybe look into a better string or a little of lead tape at the 3 and 9 position. If you are getting pushed around, add some at the throat. Try a new the string first.

I have been using Gosen OG-Sheep Micro Super 16. It's seems to have decent playability and is arm friendly. What string do you recommend for more power but still is easy on the arm?

Does anyone know if the Kennex 7g is as easy on the arm and should as the nblade 106?

The 7g is one of the all best rackets for arm and shoulder problems. If you read the reviews here on TW you will see that many people who have switched from something else have been cured. If you don't need the extra length you may try the 5g as well.

I've used the 5G with full Gosen Micro 16 (Sometimes 17) for almost 10 years. I have a history of T.E. so I use this frame almost exlusively. This racquet takes strings pretty well. I've used it with Luxillon ALU and never had any TE issues. While not a power string, I also really like Technifibre 515.

I use Technifibre NRG16. Very nice on the arm. The NRG18 adds more spin and pop. I like the NRG16 on the blade at 58lbs-62lbs.

Yes, I have seen some of these reviews. It's just that the 7g's stiffness (65 or 66 RDC) seems a bit high and I was wondering if the kinetic technology could really offset this. Does anyone think that the 7g plays softer, about the same, or stiffer than its rating? As far as stiffness and power goes, what rackets do you think are similar?

I think it's kinda hard to judge the feel of this racquet based on it's stiffness rating. This racquet is so different from every other frame that you just have to experience, by hitting with it, how the moving material inside the chambers in the frame make the racquet feel when you make contact with the ball.
