are there any strings you can compare the Alu power Fluoro to?
In terms of the lab numbers, Alu Power Fluoro 123 is definitely the softest string they make. And it does play quite soft. On paper, the M2 is technically not as soft, but it transmits less shock than the rest of the line, due to its construction, so it FEELS a lot softer than any other in the line. Overall, those two strings are the ones to try if you're looking for the softest Lux.
What does it say "on paper" about M2?
In terms of arm-friendliness, M2 is better than Ace, which is in turn better than Fluoro, and that's according to my arm.
On a subjective level, I agree with you. In play, I find that M2 is really muted and damp, in a way that I perceive as softness. The impact shock is very low for a poly. Even though M2 has Luxilon type control, I find that my wrists aren't affected by it like they are with many polys/co-polys, and they hurt much less. But according to lab tests, it goes like this:
Luxilon Big Banger Ace 112 232
Luxilon Big Banger Alu Power 125 242
Luxilon Big Banger Alu Power Fluoro 123 226
Luxilon M2 Pro 125 240
These are stiffness numbers, with lower being less stiff.
well i just baught two packs of fluoro what tension do you guys reccomend?
